  1. Ellsworth without a doubt. It is like a BMW, once you have ridden one you will not look at anything else again.
  2. Set the recording interval to less frequent. Can not remember how though.
  3. I will put this argument to rest. It is me. Ellsworth Evolve 29er. Mine is all black.
  4. I had the same issue a while back. I bought my wife a Spez Saffire 2008. (these were on special) She is raving after every ride about how much difference the bike is making to her riding. I was sceptical about the whole women specific thing but seeing her and how her confidence grew on this bike convinced me.
  5. No, I have been doing it for years and had no problems.
  6. I take offense, I drive a BMW and use my indicators. Maybe because I am a Mountie converted from the Road.
  7. Any opinions?
  8. I had the same problem. I now use Specialized inners in my shoes and the problem is solved.
  9. I am looking at buying a set of Hed Jet 60 Clinchers. As far as I can see it is a alu rim with a carbon fairing. So the carbon is not a structural part of the wheel. The spokes attach to the alu rim. Any opinions on these. Johan Bornman I would appreciate your opinion on this design.
  10. I used a Gravity Dropper and it was awesome. 27.2 mm seatpost. Does not fit my new bike. Any takers.
  11. I ride Geax and had ridden Pythons. Got the Geax from Fritz in Paulshof. Just ask and they will order. Pythons from Morningside. I have never had problems finding tires.
  12. It would be my third. I have settled on clinchers, to many stories of guys walking to the end. I would also be able to train on them a bit more. Looking at Hed Jet 6.
  13. Status:Congratulations! You have been accepted Team ID:Team - 2108 Password:use your ID Number as your password I have to start training.
  14. So I am convinced to go the Tubbie route. Thanks guys I think you addressed my puncture concerns, it also seems that the weight penalty on clinchers are quite hefty. Now I must decide which ones. Any advice will be appreciated.
  15. Thanks guys. It seems that everybody believes in clincher for training and tubbies for racing. (a spare tubbie for IM or important races). Now the next question is what must I look out for when I buy a set of tubbies, wheels and tires themselves. Any recommendations is welcome.
  16. I suppose you ride with an extra tubbie if you are really scared. How easy is it to change them?
  17. thanks, that is the sort of comments I need. I need to convince myself that Tubbies is for me.
  18. So I have been looking for deep section clinchers for a while without success. The reason I want clinchers before tubbies is that I am scared of punctures especially during Iron Man. It can ruin a race and many many hours of training. My question is, is this a valid concern? How prone are tubbies to punctures and can I fix them next to the road? In general what is the benefits and drawbacks of tubbies?
