+1. I got mine about 2 weeks ago. Paid R23k for the frame. Used my own wheels and saddle and it was very close to R50k. R35 is a good price. This is a great bike. I am 6,2 and the xl is perfect for me.

I struggle to find comfy MTB shoes. They all seem to be too narrow. I had a pair of North Wave's previously which was great. Any recommendation? Any idea wo stocks North Wave

Why not 2 bladders in the Camelback? A1 liter for juice and a 3 liter bladder only filled with 2 litres of water. They actually sit very nicely on top of each other. You have a pipe feeding from both sides. Keeps it much cooller and cleaner than a bottle.

I have bar ends on my 29 er and can not give a t...s what anybody else say or think about it.

Thanks guys. XTR seems to be the thing. Saw the new ones this weekend and must admit I was surprised how good they look. I know with Shimano parts will never be a problem so I am going to stick with them.

I need to replace the very old XT brakes on my bike. They really gave me great service from the night I put them on my bike after stage 1 of Sani2C. They have been carried over through 2 bikes. One of the pistons gets stuck and do not want to retract fully despite two competent mechanics trying to sort it out.. I got great service from them but it is time to upgrade. Question now is: XTR or XX? Any opinions or advice?

Quick question. Is the fork on my first generation Evolve tapered or not. Not close to the bike to see.

Some background, I am 1.88 m tall, weigh about 90 kg. I currently ride a Elsworth Evolve, it is about 3 years old. If I keep it I will spend quite a bit of money on it before Epic. Probably new suspension front and back as well as new group. The other option is to get a new bike. Currently the only options appealing to me is the SC Tallboy or the new Scalpel. I will definately stick to a 29 er. Any thoughts?

I will go SRAM shifter and derailleur on the back. On the nine speed the SRAM XTR combination works very well on the front. I know the back is not compatible.

Thanks for the advice. Post fixed. I want to stay with gripshifts. I run a X0 shifter with XTR derailleur. On my new bike I want to go 3x 10 but with gripshifts. I have heard the new SRAM 10 speed gripshifts will only be 2x10. This way I can keep my X0 3x front with a XTR 10 speed dérailleur front

Will n 9 speed front shifter work with a 10 speed front dérailleur. Specifically a 9 speed gripshift?
