  4. I guess law abiding people are just too easy targets to screw over again and again. See what happens if a workers strike is declared illegal...or a police strike... What was the reasoning for declaring it illegal?

    2009 Raleigh

I must say I did like my old raleigh frame, but outgrew it... I do also way prefer my Specialized frame and yes I know they are made in Taiwan. I know someone that used to be sponsored by raleigh but hated every day he rode his raleigh. Its whatever fits you the best. The new colours look pretty cool, lets see how stiff they are with such a drop in weight.
  6. Yes, only by mistake. Won't do it again, that was scary as hell.
  7. What a sissy. He needs to learn how to ride a bike, that bridge is easy as long as you can hold a half meter straight line.
  8. NO But still interesting
  9. I see Raleigh is leading the polls... Raleigh19 [24.68%]Merida15 [19.48%]Silverback9 [11.69%]Giant18 [23.38%]Scott16 [20.78%] What defines the best product, the cheapest, best quality or just looks?GIRR2008-08-03 05:03:23
  10. What no "other" option? Specialized! all the way!
  11. This is why I don't do mtb races, I don't ride licenced mtb (do for rd riding) and felt like slitting my wrists after having to walk 5km of hill as the trail was so clogged with walking cyclists who insist on taking up the whole trail
  12. What I find more annoying than the races being on different web sites is having to re-fill 5 pages of details in each time and not being allowed to continue unless you update them like with the amashova and lost city entries!
  13. Rock Shox Reba is the best value for money shock, and still awesome quality Fox F 100 RL is also really good but you're gonna pay like double the price So if money is no problem or you plan on really racing get the Fox. If you're not gonna race or spend a fortune get the reba.
  14. To be honest I don't care if cyclosport riders take epo, steroids or whatever so they can feel cool and win the B bunch race by cheating. Racing categorys is a bit more serious, I rate if you tested a few of the middle position racing cat. riders they would turn up positive, but again who really cares if they're taking stuff as long as they aren't contenders for the top positions.
  15. 12-25 You then don't have to change down off the big chain ring when racing.
  16. Haha thats why I have a set of EA90SLX's. But I havent ridden these Roval Stars in a race before. The write up of them on the specialized web site says they're very stiff, but having such a narrow hub should actually make them pretty flexible no matter how short the spokes are. Never mind how heavy they are.
  17. It's actually an all conditions lube. They're saying it only works well in dry weather, rather stick to wet lubes in wet weather.
  18. Some of the Quickstep guys are riding Roval but those wheels are made by Campag and just have Roval stickers on them. I believe those are roval hubs with deep section campag rims, but they are not the roval stars.
  19. If you were to buy them here from a local dealer they would be around17k if I'm not mistaken.
  20. If you don't mind having to fork some $$$ out on the odd occasion you manage to break your carbon frame they rock. Otherwise stick to an alu, you can at least keep on riding it if it dings.
  21. What do you guys think of these? The new way to go in terms of aero wheels or just a nice concept... The idea in aero wheels seems to be heading towards a slightly heavier but aero wheel rather than having the lightest wheel made. http://www.specialized-sa.co.za/images/equipment/equip/equip56.jpg Approximate Wheelset weight: 1750g Approximate Q/R weight: 91g/set Aerodynamically superior design yields 50% less frontal area, minimizing wind drag http://www.bikecyclingreviews.com/images/1/roval1.JPGThat Hub http://www.bikecyclingreviews.com/images/1/roval3.JPGRear Wheel
  22. ja shame just saw him waiting as the group goes past
  23. Check if it shifts without a cable connected to a derailer. If it still doesn't shift something may be broken inside the shifter. In which case it may be a warranty or expensive failure depending on what shimano say... Otherwise cables is the first place to start looking at if you have shifting problems.
