  1. I received my licence on Fri last week, although it was done via my club and not their new internet system.
  2. champion chip is easily better: faster results, club names and far less errors
  3. A friend of mine have them on his Scott, has never had a complaint about them, and I beleive youre right that they are skandium so pretty light.
  4. Hmm... I had a look at it and it says if I get myself a 300g lighter bike frame it will only make 1 watt less t output o do the same speed as what i would normally do on a training ride. Kinda expected a bigger difference.
  5. Use mxit
  6. I really am not sure why speed or volume would make a difference to picking up your chip? Maybe how high it is off the ground and if its attached directly to your fork? For the fast 1 I have the same time to the second as ten others who I raced with in the bunch sprint, so the back up mat could never have taken our times or positions.
  7. Pity we live in a lawless society where you would instead get out on 10k bail if you were ever arrested to begin with.
  8. The Easton Tempests are good lightweight aero wheels and can be serviced at your LBS if you do brake a spoke or something.
  9. The long park tool pedal spanners work the best, if those cant get them off nothing will. See if you can use your LBS one if you are really having trouble getting them off.
  10. The Kenda and Maxxis in general are good tyres, but if youre going tubless the Kenda Nevegals give lots of sealing problems.
  11. Find out what your threshold is. Train at around 50-70% of that for endurance and above it for anaerobic training.
  12. The shifting is far better on the 105 than the tiagra, also the new tiagra cover on the shifters can be easily damaged as they are just clear plastic and look horrible once this has happened.
  13. Hi all What are your views or experiences with carbon soled shoes, are they really stiffer and stay so for longer compared to nylon soled shoes and is the price difference worth it? I'm thinking of something along the Specialized range.

    Pantani you have a Cervelo!
  15. Hijack... Are indoor trainers not a good idea for carbon frames?
  16. Jason the thing is I went to a trainer and he wants me to do far higher mileage than what I've been currently doing and I'm just outa matric so do have the time to do it. Now I'm just interested in how other people are able to do it.
  17. DangerDave I was just wondering where do you ride to get in so much mileage, esp. during the week, and do you ride mostly by yourself or in a group?
  18. I know the guys from Coolheat, they are dependent on the manufacturers overseas for stock and do try to do what they can. I had to wait 8 months for a shimano wheel replacement which was not Coolheats fault.
  19. Hi Hubbers thanx for the replys I'm going to get a coach to help me further especially in terms of quality of my training. I've been finding when I do a base ride of around 150km (28km/h) I haven't fully recovered 2 days later.
  20. Damn you guys ride your wheels to the rims if you can feel the valve touching the ground. I've found that when you puncture and still have like 5 bar left the tyre seems to absorb some road surface vibration similar to that of carbon seat stays. Or is this just accoustics...
  21. Carbon seatstays maybe?
  22. I do a fair amount of xcountry running at school and have never had any troubles with Nike or Asics
  23. I've yet to brake something that wasn't due to a manufacturing fault, but at the same time I only weigh around 72kg.
  24. Wow thats so awesome even the bottle cage bolts are gold!!!
  25. Hi guys how long and far do you normally ride in a week. I try to do around 12hrs a week but don't think its nearly enough if I'm trying to race.
