  1. Sorry man. You were riding the crap out of me, I wasnt seeing straight.
  2. Tankman - Did I see you riding a Giant this weekend?
  3. Value for money, looks, performance, good in windy conditions, a little bit aero, light and sexy you really only have two options. Reynolds Attack 32mm full carbon clinchers for R9500 OR Easton EA90SL 38mm Carbon Clinchers for around R13000
  4. Pity about the blue Garmin
  5. maybe big h also has a dump to pie deficit...
  6. But with Shimano? Is that even legal?
  7. Guys I am working for my commission here. I said i can up their sales with 10% with a omment like this. Work with me...
  8. I tried this and it really works. Did an 8 min power interval without it and with it. My average power with the bracelet was 15 watts higher. Guys this thing works!
  9. 24 hours is more than enough.
  10. tomorrow
  11. did anyone go check this out
  12. i also do mine myself.
  13. i can get down to my 2nd last cog without rubbing against my fd. One down and it does, but can still ride there if i can stand the noise without any trouble. Get a proper mechanic.
  14. i need the speed sensor for my other wheels. I have no problem with speed when i use my wheel with the powertap hub.
  15. I got a wireless speed sensor for my wireless powertap. I am going through the "learn" id process, but the cpu is not picking up the id. I repeated the steps for my HR strap and hub and both work fine and register the id, but not when I do the speed sensor. I have already flipped the small switch inside to speed. Help please!
  16. Never even rode it. I sold it as part of a deal with my frame. I wanted them to race with, but seeing that racing season was still a while away I rather decided to sell my frame with the wheels to buy a new frame instead. I will probably get tubbies tom race with again. All the reviews I have read on these wheels are good, so you cant go wrong with them.
  17. 101 - the s30 uses a alu rim wih exactly the same torodial profile as the zipp 101. I should know i had a set. So ill dismiss your comment. And i did say they use similar hubs. Not a very good response at all. Capeofstorms- The price you see on crc is per wheel and not for the set.
  18. These wheels should be good, but there is another option. I was interested in getting theses, but after a bit of investigation found that the SRAM S30 race is basically the same wheel, for a lot cheaper. SRAM and ZIPP is the same company, so both wheels use the same rims and very similar hubs. The SRAM wheels are build in the east and ZIPP in the USA, but thats the only difference. My S30's weighed 1530g and thast exactly what the ZIPP 101's claimed weigh is. The SRAM wheels cost around R7000 and the Zipps around R11000. No brainer really.
  19. What about some superstrong custom build tubular wheels. I am selling a set for a steal. They were build with 28 sapim laser spokes front and rear, so will have no issue carrying your weigh. And they weigh 1.41kg. Selling for R2500 with tubbbies. Also consider DT Swiss Mon Chasseral RR1450. They weigh 1450g and perfect for heavier riders. I have abrand new set of those for R4500.
  20. if you test properly your max hr is not really negotiable. As you get fitter you can push to your max easier. This does not mean that your max hr changes with your fitness. Its simply you body's capacity. My max is 195 bpm and if i am unfit i just push out less power that when i am fit at the same heart rate. In any event evaluating your fitness on your max hr is naive to say the least.
  21. Great! Thats the best part.
  22. Anyone know if the tour will be screened in HD?
  23. BMC wont cut and thread spokes, but Mark at Cape Town cycles will, if you cant find the right lenght.
  24. Is it possible to cut and thread butted spokes as well or can you only do it with straight gauge? Thats what I have been told.
