Those things are to put between the disc and the three sided Shimano bolt. You bend over the edges so that the bolts don't go loose. You will have to put the raised edges over the bolt flanges (away from the disc) if you would want to use them as shims.

I've got a Topeak Joe Blow Sport. Was almost R400 about 5 years ago but works like a bomb. When the gauge gave in it was fixed within 3 days. IT's got a dual head and the clamping lever is metal. And it i yellow so you will not overlook it when you back up in the veld.

Nice bike but that handlebar tape needs to go. Very disappointed in CWC for letting it go out like that. Should be plain black, always.

In 1983 when I got my first BMX I started a book where I wrote down all the bike brands (not models) that I saw on the roads and in magazines. I stopped halfway through the book as it was getting out of hand. With all the brands there were only a few that stood out. You could see the quality from 2 blocks away. They were GT, Mongoose, Diamondback, Redline and Kuwahara. The rest were basically the same bikes with different stickers on.

Do it yourself. Get a can of primer, colour and then clear coat. Just get good paint and not cheap chinese brand.
