  1. IICE ID. Think its Mickey Mouse's wifes business. When i was in my student days i used to rock to dog tags on a chain. after that the broad rubber type and i see they make ones that slips directly onto your garmin/Apple strap now. The problem with these is that a first responded would have to actively look for this. so dont "hide" them. Im thinking in the line of those "Pro only" name decals with your blood type and medical condition underneath your name?? placed on a helmet and bike.
  2. This thread seems to answer another thread about races no longer being around. Back then you used to have a PPA race every weekend but not alot of having to chose between 2 races. Then popped up a wave of new races and participants would have to chose. i presume in the end we will see another few races die out and a few good ones be left over?
  3. SOL RX or TechniBlock. Oil based(Clearliquid) will be your best bet. Thats what i use (skin cancer prone too). hope it helps
  4. Just to add more to your confusion. I ride a Large merida 96 MTb a 54cm road a 56cm gravel with shorter stem. Although longer than my road bike it is a lot more relaxed fit than my road bike. Stem being higher and saddle to bar length almost the same. with gravel you don't want to be TO nippy. for clarification i am 1.79cm so i sit on the M/L threshold. at 1.75 i would go smack bang 54(M) and tweak the setup with stem length and bar width.
  5. Lately received a lot of lowball offers. Not even a "hi, would jou accept an offer of x amount." Just: Rxxx Nothing more. So i just started to reply with just as much disrespect/lack of sillables: NO
  6. Just to throw another spanner in the mix: What about IDT riding. I often find myself riding in a very wet bib even with a fan on etc. the natural cooling from riding outdoors keeps my clothes a lot dryer. even things like a simple sweatband on my wrists help keep my handlebars and towel over handlebars dry. Back to the point: I wonder iff riding in salty corrosive wet bibs on the trainer does not help deteriorate fabric fibers. Just my 2c
  7. Have you ever shouted at your wife to help you measure your chest and waist...... only to anyways decide you dont fit into the (insert size here) measurement since you intend to lose 5kgs and that will make you 1 size smaller. come 1 year down the line and you picked up 2ks and you now look like a armgat gestopte wors...
  8. Wear the size that fits and stop being bothered by what the label says. In Hi-Tec for instance i am a L in the 3-in-1 jackets but a XXL in their Rain jacket.. also a XXL in ciovita Tinta. Really cant be bothered what the size prefix is anymore as long as it fits good
  9. Is the board a buy once @ R60 or is it like a day licence where you have to buy it for every race?
  10. Help!!!!!! I cant seem to add the SASeeding Ticket to my name on howler. Any idea what i am doing wrong?
  11. Looks very much like a Haro CR road frame with the almost teardrop down tube
  12. https://www.takealot.com/jlab-go-air-sport-true-wireless-earbuds-black/PLID90433145?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw26KxBhBDEiwAu6KXt_vlIZ0vXKUq3ZCyfs2EbQeNaJivL_a4-8M-X5e3jRHKIqws-hL2_hoC6jkQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Only pair that so far held out with me sweating buckets. Upgrading to the shokz Openrun Pro just to have the ability to have the outside noise and being able to communicate on gravel races.
  13. THIS I think we underestimate the washing line drying effect on ALL clothing not just cycling kit I always tell my wife "ons was ons klere in sy M..R in nie dra nie"
  14. Will post pictures tonight for all to see. I suspect we are not the only ones with this issue. For context MTB 25mm offset clamp with an Selle Italia SLR (saddle is pushed all the way back). this is also the main bib eater ROAD: 25mm offset clamp with an Selle Italia SLR( Saddle is pushed all the way forward) no wear on bibs whatsoever) Gravel: 0mm offset clamp with Spez Phenom (saddle pushed all the way forward) No wear on bibs but a skin pinch on my left side, probably due to the SLR 135mm vs the Phenom 143mm. I will get a SLR for the gravel when some shop has a sale on them again
  15. Its not your saddle. It is your saddle/seatclamp/inner thighs that is the problem. I will dm you pics of my assos and ciovitas. my assos wears a hole in them due to the chamois beim lower on the inner thigh. My ciovitas chamois stitching goes first to such an extend that it almost looks like it has the unstitched sides like an ASSOS. So every few months i send 3x ciovita shorts to their store to have restitched. the first 2 times they did a warrenty exchange but then it dawned on me that i am just a fat .... and that my inner thighs rumming against the saddle clamp is the cause. its got nothing to do with saddle model and more an INTERFACE issue. Hope it helps
  16. I have a 56cm Farr gravel frame laying around iff anybody wants a project frame. its unpainted so needs work but other than that its perfect.
  17. Morning Anybody used their upgrade kit before? They seem to have a solution to make my 1x11 Force1 into 1x12 and use a gx derailer. a mechanical mullet setup. just want ot get feedback before n buy and ship this side
  18. Big guy here. Heavy sweater aswell. The ciovita DriRelease is my go to. It has a solid strand of yarn running the full lenth of the garmet so it spreads the sweat evenly for evaporation. I can confirm that NO it is not hotter with a base layer and YES the spreading of moisture for evaporation does help cool you down. Even in 40 degree summer days i dont leave home without it.
  19. Morning. Any comparison between the Breville Barista Express and Kenwood Manual Espresso Machine? Both look very similar in design and features but the Kenwood is quite cheaper. Regards
  20. Just tell him you are also on a rig and the bike is currently in the Gym room. he should swim over and collect it...
  21. What does truecaller say about the number? Agrico is an irrigation supplies company so he is using their name aswell..
  22. Mine started giving me issues 2 weeks ago. Incline is up to sh@t. Going uphill and then it suddenly reads -14%
  23. so just a few opinions here Milking balm/Speen salf: works fine but disappears to quickly. might be to runny in consistency thats why... cows were never meant to be milked for hours. Biogen: Next best thing after milking balm but i am 99% sure it is just rebranded milking balm.. at best just added an antibacterial ingredient to pure milking balm, hence the price. Ass magic: my go to, i even apply for an hour indoor session. Squirt: was given a few sample backs of it but it was so stiff i had to kneed it warm like wondergom to apply it. kind of felt like waxing wax going on.. not a pleasant thought. Assos: used to smell quite minty a few years ago? also was quite cooling tingly when applied which suggested eucalyptus in it?
  24. It was a hard few weeks with the Old Hermon, Race2theSea and Boland Gravel Monster. Wat was really alarming was that 3 waterpoints was manned by the same guys, they kept leapfrogging us on the road, so if the faster guys had waterpoints i dont know. I finished close to the back but by no means last and almost 2 hours from cutoff. when I finished they was not even a bear... the portaloos was already loaded and on its way out(truck broke down just outside the estate but still.. The coffee truck was not up and running at start time... It was completely the opposite for the Old hermon at the same venue just 3 weeks prior
  25. Judging by how the farm looks(Saron) anywhere it drains it will be fine but any low lying areas is a mud fest
