I prefer to do the same, i was a bit nervy when i bought a bike a few years back from a seller in Potch off the hub, a close friend took the drive from Jhb to pay and collect on my behalf. I just couldnt pay without physically seeing the bike. Name and shame plse, we need to know who to look out for.

Yep, parking the bike at the gym outside is fine. bring a bike lock, i leave my lock at the gym front desk, saves me from forgetting to bring it. Showers, at the gym ofcourse. I havent been to the old club house in years, so not sure of the showers there. In summer i come in from the Southern Suburbs.

Yep conveniance is what they selling. I would usually book my unit in via a sportsman warehouse in CT to be shipped to Joburg and back. Its very annoyning though that a simple battery change on my watch is not allowed to be done by yourself, when questioned it was explained that they do a water sealant test afterwards.

yip road and mtb, wax or shave. started off on the road, did shave though, off to mtb, lots of scratches and gashes later it made more sense to shave.

Should pick up immediately. Also ask him if he set the wheel diametre, actualy it might still pick up if he didnt set it.

Might be poiting out the obvious here but the magnet and sensor needs to very close to each other for Polar products. Post a pic, lets see how its mounted. Might help identify the problem.
