  1. Dumb ****s. Pity the oke didn't slip on the clutch and reverse into his mate. They look like they could be recognisable though, at least the one guy with the beard.
  2. Could kick myself! Years ago I got a Russian military watch from an aviator in the Russian airforce. It was old and worn, one of his spares. Not sure where it could be now, clipped the watch face a while back and damaged it.
  3. Outside of warranty. Think the chain/seat stays carry a 5 year warrant and a lifetime warranty applies on the mainframe.
  4. Formidable lineup .... clear cut XCO and Epic goals. https://fb.watch/2U9eagJqwy/ "2020 proved to be a memorable season for the riders of Cannondale Factory Racing – including the two new faces on the squad. World #1 Henrique Avancini and veteran teammate Manuel Fumic are joined by former junior XC and CX World Champion Simon Andreassen of Denmark and former U23 and ebike World Champion Alan Hatherly Athlete of South Africa. Both riders achieved breakout results last season with Simon winning his first Elite XCO World Cup and Alan landing his first Elite XCO World Cup podium. After two weeks together for a small team camp, the groundwork has been laid, the normal CFR shenanigans had, and the bonds forged for 2021. Bring on the races."
  5. A Mad Giant will slap you silly and prove you wrong! ....
  6. Issa Corona, issa ok? .....
  7. I dunno, don't really identify with the video but at the same time methinks you guys are making way too much out of it and projecting so much hubris and hyperbole. It's purely a personal edit and isn't a commercial production it wasn't punted as such. It's bland at worst, no more and no less. Cracking open a beer now, cheers...
  8. Savage
  9. Fun fact, Avbob came into being because of the Spanish Flu.
  10. No man, there must be a limit. I'm not AliG
  11. Timing. Should see the reams of stuff that comes through news desks. There are literally thousands of things happening and it's all about who is where and with what resources/workload. A lot of stuff worse than this comes and it gets lost in the ether. Even something like a kid with downs syndrome getting shot by a police officer, which had coverage. Public outrage dissipates pretty quickly. Tumbles (RIP) worked in that area of news rooms and could've shared a lot of perspective.
  12. The bottle is rather posh. Quite. Think I'll snag someone's empty and top it up with my regular stuff. People will think I'm posh with more money than sense. Little will they know. Play mind games and claim it's 'only' for races. At 0.5 to 1.8 races a year I should be covered. Kind of like how a housemate years back had and empty Glenfiddich whisky bottle. Topped it up with basic Bells. Braai evenings with everyone thinking they're larney.... ja bru
  13. Looks like Robbie Hunter in the Phonak kit?
  14. When you put it like that ,,,,,, shutup and take my money

  16. Flipping noice! ... Does my head in that gap/drop! Always opted for the next trail. Took refuge in the fact that the other trail option is the red trail and not a manicured bunny slope.
  17. Also easier said than done without any options of assistance, not everyone can find an alternative or scale back enough and still make a plan to survive. Advendurance, Pursuit Challenge etc have managed to hold smaller scale events with a number of adaptions and restrictions.
  18. Don't forget Shimano Steps. From a user perspective though, the Mission Control app from Specialized is really next level and difficult to beat. Although I'd wager Shimano is fast closing that gap with their Steps system. Orbea Rise and Merida spring to mind.
  19. Sure. Not 90% of people attending though, but as a percentage of a group tested, who attended. Should have have stipulated that, have edited the post. No expert but do agree that the percentage raises questions, then again given the behaviour (and most likely prior) at these kinds of events I wouldn't be surprised either. Was fortunate to be at an event where NHLS/NICD introduced extra mobile testing and screening labs. Overheard an incredibly frustrated conversation on the challenges with contact tracing for NICD and how it put a drain on their resources.
  20. Ey? And how many more lives are destroyed by having an event creating a health risk? Lives and livelihoods are interlinked. Matric Rage, perfect example for Gauteng attendees. Of approx 1034 attendees tested, more than 90% tested positive and at the time spread it amongst another 30 families. So with a rough 2% mortality rate and 15% of 'recoveries' showing long term to permanent effects. The destruction of lives and livelihoods is compounded then, and spread out even further. Events make up a large portion of my income, and I don't believe hard lockdown measures are a solution. Especially here in SA where the balance is so delicate. At the same time absolutely cannot agree with the statement in bold, because as much as gov has fkd up, so is our behaviour as the public at events. So the many pay for the few, again.
  21. If it was more about the green, there are other industries to feed that. I think for the most part it's about ensuring the survival of the event, which has far more reaching ramifications than just green in pockets.
  22. Yes, have done so a few times in the past.
