  5. Was clearing image archives and came across this beaut from Mondraker. Raize Goulao Henrique's Mondraker Podium. Team Primaflor Rotor.
  6. He is. Also Matt Lombardi and Mariske Strauss
  7. 38c often measures at 40c on wider rims. Personally feel a good all rounder 40c tyre is the best best for a variety of conditions. Been running Kenda Flintridge Pro (40c) for a few years now and I've been supper impressed with them. They don't have the most supple feel but they are proving themselves pretty bombproof all rounders. Have done a few Walkerville, Pary/Vredefort, van Gaalen rides etc with them. So far so good, and with tubes.
  8. Bloody hell man, this is good work. And I like that they keep the welds visible, show them off wee lass ...
  9. Also went there recently, and was told we needed to register on the site. Could not find anything but they let us ride in the entrance at Higher Ground. Prior to lockdown as far as I know the loop has always been made of by the general public, especially the surrounding burbs. Not just for riding, also walking/running and dog walkers. I understood it was a courtesy to the community on the part of the school providing a safe environment. This would be in line with the school's principles and history. Have always supported the restaurant as far as possible as a show of gratitude, and if need to be would happily support a nominal access fee. The loop is a gem and a fine showcase for the school, a number of out of town visitors have expressed their gratitude and admiration for the facilities. Would be a shame to lose out because of misunderstood feelings.
  10. Having done some work in this space I can with 100% confidence say that's unlikely. You have a designer and/or respective designers along with different sponsors, kit supplier, PR/marketing and the team, no one is going to go in on that as a plan under a deadline.
  11. Flipping sad and disappointing, lets see what comes though.
  12. A sad sad loss, it was his birthday not long ago. Posted a shoot I'd done with him years back, at Fountains reserve. Laaitjie had just taken delivery of a new BMW 1 series. Joh he was flipping young then, just won U23 worlds I think and had come on board with a full Specialized ride.
  13. Reckoning this would be one halluva gravel kit ....
  14. Ruffled my feathers at first. But I waddled through the images and had a good gander. Arguably not entirely what it’s quacked up to be. But on balance they got their ducks in a row. Look forward to the riders paddling the kit as the Giro flocks in.....
  15. Also receive numerous requests for 'sponsorship' and coverage of kids, instead of just letting them be kids. I remember us discussing this and wanting to do an article on it. Imho it is central to a number of societal problems that exist and created an unhealthy misconception of performance and wellness.
  16. https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/ag2r-citroen-team-to-ride-bmc-for-2021/?fbclid=IwAR2k0SC7IR46lVn1QluOSHHEKl7wmG-JV3m7StIKe46dScftliB0zbv3DLE "The French team will be on Swiss bikes from next season, as BMC affirms its role as equipment sponsor until 2023 Elsewhere in the continual merry go round of teams and their equipment sponsors, Jumbo-Visma will be moving away from Bianchi bikes in favour of a deal with Cervelo. Cervelo's current team, Team Sunweb, have confirmed a deal with Scott bikes, and the Mitchelton-Scott team is in advanced talks with Bianchi."
  17. Super keen to see this, if anyone can make it interesting it will be these guys. At first I rolled my eyes at the idea, but after watching the promo reel, hooked. Yip the koolaid tasted good.
  18. FYI ... selling of a Shark flip up/full face helmet. Size: medium SilverKept mostly as a spare/pillion helmet and has seen minimal use. In good condition with clear visor. Top vent clip has a minor crack but still works perfectly. R1800 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/669133084039272/
  19. Best bet is to make contact with Trek ZA, they have a good reputation with frame warranties or assisting where possible.
  20. Yeah, one for the books! Did a ride up and back down there a couple years back, that was enough.
  21. Memories of Benky and the Dreyer's everesting on Sani Pass. Mal
  22. Has to be a special import by Omnico, same with 24inch cruisers. Not really any demand.
  23. No. Always keep your defence mechanism on your person. Access is quicker, you can conceal, less danger of being separated from it and it being used on you.
