  1. Are there two different login options now? Everytime I try to go into classifieds to make changes or an ad it wants me to login. Won't let me use FB to login and won't send details to my email that I use.
  2. We need to log into classifieds separately?
  3. 4 Mike Woolnough 71:18:00 This oke, super impressive. Mike is 59. Quite likely one of the most consistently strong Munga riders, has a few Freedom Challenge events under his belt too.
  4. You know me too well
  5. Ag nee man, he's a machine.
  6. Reading Ramses's Wahoo. Temps of 29 min, 44 max and an average of 38!! ... My nuts are sweaty just reading that.
  7. Another option is to park at Cradle Moon. From here you have a few options, ride out of Cradle Moon an onto the Cradle trail for a loop. If you want you can also do some of the trails in Cradle Moon for some extra distance. There are shower facilities as well there. Grab a chipotle burger on the deck after, you wont be sorry. Alternatively park at Valverde to start and end on the route, also shower and pool facilities there as well as a decent post ride menu. Bidon is great, but a bit open and busy for me personally.
  8. Relax, the okes have thus far been answering everything so far. Sure they'll get to answering the question, no doubt they also have work to do. Generally laser scanning/xrays can be done, but there are a number of NDT (None Destructive Test) methodologies in use to determine a repair and/or further tests are needed. It's also dependant on the inherent design, ie a tight radius on a specific area may need extra tests to be sure there are no voids. Graeme or Anton will probably give a more detailed idea, but they've already alluded to this in how they asses any possible repair job in the first place.
  9. So glad nothings changed in Bloem. My mate Ryan is taking part, say howzit to him.
  10. There was that. As Albert from JoziTrails also said, much of what is being done currently is reactive, but they're pursuing proactive methods as well. Also mentioned that they have an idea of some of the movements and working on disruptive measures along the hotspots. Also they're pushing on certain details surrounding the investigation to catch the guys. Reward money is allocated and SAPS/security are also utilising some vagrants for information. One CAP officer committed to acting on information regarding Rustenburg road.
  11. Probike Raleighs were the business, Robbie Powell (designer) and co did an exceptional job with them. The Raleigh licencing was pulled and transferred to another agency (with massmart affiliations) who attempted to import Raleigh along with a few other brands. That died out and even though Raleigh can be found in Game nowadays at a price point, the quality leaves much to be desired. Els pushed back and started up Axis bikes to fill the gap, with Robbie Powell and Phillip Erasmus managing product design etc... They brought out some great products and the bikes handles really well. I did my first stage race on the Axis A10 at the 2012 Cape Epic. Not long after under Brandon Probike became a direct subsidary of Scott Sport as Scott Sports Africa. Brandon sold up his share after some years and moved on for a while. He then came back into the industry as a director with Rush Sports. Think we're all familiar with the successful trajectory they're following. Especially with the Apex/Signal range, which falls under the scope and expertise of Phillip who came over from Probike/Scott. Robbie Powell by the way runs his own suspension servicing and tuning workshop (RBC) in PE with great success. Els might not be to everyone's soft serve flavour, but in my brief experience he is an astute businessman, sharp marketer and supports his staff. SA has a solid group of industry professionals and brands who punch way above our market's weight and are well respected internationally. Victor Momsen Mark Hopkins Cliff Beckett Patrick Morewood etc etc ... there are few I'm forgetting.
  12. Tyre liner with a cutout old inner tube as an extra layer.
  13. http://beaglewatch.co.za/footage.html
  14. Shared to the I Love Melville FB page.
  15. No where near. That said, it's that time of year where hotspots occur as opportunistic crime flare up.
  16. Don't you just hate that! Did my first DC in 2017 on a loaner road bike, such a vibe. Have penned in 2020 for nommer twee! Should at the very least have a decently fast gravel bike by then.
  17. An update on our custom kit for reference which came about almost by accident. We had a visit from Italian based GSG - Giessegi (https://www.giessegi.com) I was a bit apprehensive as we'd never even heard of them before, and I'd put a fair amount of design work in. But they brought some samples for us to try out and I researched the company a bit. Turns out the company was founded in the 80s by a former pro and they supply a couple pro teams across cycling. WT, CX, World Cup MTB etc... The sample kit was a win and the bibs served me well on the 178km Mini Munga. The top is by far one of the most comfortable I've worn, comparable to the Bioracer with a similar fabric and cut. We did opt for the most expensive top on a minimum order though Seemless sleeves in a high density weave bio ceramic fabric on the front and sleeves, side panels are a square blocked fine mesh with a slightly more open weave on the back for heat management. Not too open though to all any sunburn on the back. The pockets are slightly more loose than I'd like for MTB but the overall fit and function is exceptionally comfortable. We're really happy and had an early delivery despite really tight deadlines as we finalised my design with their design and factory team in Italy. https://skfb.ly/6OqCu
  18. That's fine, each to their own. There are plenty events all over that a lot of people don't feel compelled to go and ride. Not sure why one would feel the need to make an announcement about it though. That said Jhb has it's own charm and for the most part out of town visitors (local and international) have been pleasantly surprised and enjoyed themselves when I've shown them around.
  19. Those USN tubes were my favourite, could use them throughout a ride with minimal fuss and no mess/litter. I'm sorry they discontinued them. Currently use the PowerBar gels, still a sachet so they have to be used in one go. Do like the pull tab though, has a seperate string type cutaway that keeps it attached to the packaging.
  20. Road or MTB? ... Vukani, Edenglen Cycling and Teamview are active in the Bedfordview area
  21. Some regional bodies.
  22. Fair comment given the track record no? Just read the release on an "internal investigation" ... smoke and mirror hyperbole. If the incumbent leadership cannot show an open and frank communication, then it raises more questions than answers. Especially when there is a direct correlation to the resignation of the GM under a cloud. DnD didn't say anything anywhere near alluding that all CSA people are bad. Simply called for some kind of accountability. Entirely reasonable. Hopefully it does present some kind of turn around direction, there are some keenly committed people within CSA who volunteer their time and resources for all the right reasons. This behind closed doors mentality needs to stop though. It's totally counter intuitive and just compounds mistrust. Not conducive to getting buy in from the public and build the membership that way.
  23. Really sorry to be seeing stuff like this. Hope Dina pulls through. This oke should be black listed, industry is a small place.
  24. Nope, Omnico stock. Along with those Giro helmets.
  25. So mooi it's moist. Must admit, I am physically erect!
