    Your DH Machine

JP, my friend who owns Recycles, has just received his Carbine frame, so will let you know what he thinks of it as soon as it's built up. JP used to do DH racing as well, so he'll be able to give you an educated opinion.
  2. I think the only difference is that the RP23 has three levels of Propedal "firmness" settings, which the RP2 doesn't have. So it's just a bit more tunable than the RP2. But for the rest I think they're pretty similar.

I think the new Uzzi is the one for you Cap.

Awesome. Not a DH'r myself, but can certainly appreciate that beaut. Got a Tracer, so can just imagine what the M9 must feel like.

Cap, here's one for you. Hanging in Recycles shop in Bellville.
  7. Haha! No worries dude. Buy it when you ready.... but rather sooner than later!
  8. So now you make us get all excited..... smuck....
  9. Stop being such a whiney beeeaaaatch and buy the fricken thing!
  10. I don't need much encouragement to go and spend time with my bikes. It's like a sanctuary. Six pack lager- check; camping stool - check; garage filled with bikes - check..... good times.
  11. The way of The Hub filled with great confusion it is young Skywalker.
  12. I guess the only area where you will struggle with the Cotic, is through serious rock gardens, but then again how much of the trails we ride have miles and miles of rocks? Not much. So then, that's it. Get it.
  13. Ha ha! Ja, all true. HT really makes you look for the right line! We actually become biking slobs when you have lots of travel at the back. You don't pick a line, you make a line.
  14. Hmmm... difficult one. I wouldn't sell the Commencal. At Jonkers I'd prefer the FS above hardtail every time. So it's horses for courses. Rather build the hard tail up over time as you get some bucks. Then eventually you'll have 2 bikes to cover all bases.
  15. Just go for it boet. He loves his bike. Took him a while to get used to it, because the geometry is similar to his full suspension AM bike, but obviously without the plushness at the back. But now he's ripping. At Majik he's significantly quicker on the Chameleon vs the full suspension.
  16. Looks like it's pretty similar to the Santa Cruz Chameleon my friend's got? I think you've seen his. You bumped into us some time ago at Majik.
  17. Ouch, that's gotto hurt.
  18. Hie hie.. ja, we shouldn't be laughing at other okes, but damn there were a few bad tumbles. Most of them, was just because they weren't carrying enough speed. And I think some have never seen a berm before.
  19. Indeed. Last night they showed highlights of the Wine to Wales. Amazing how many okes couldn't ride a singletrack section which was made of wooden planks with a few berms etc.
  20. Survived an Epic on GU Brew. Really good stuff.
  21. Ask at CWC. I think there's a lady that can do that type of thing for you there.
  22. Ha ha! Stop talking k@k. You're eyeing that Reign X, aren't you...
  23. I mix and match all the time (I like Shimano cranks and brakes, but for RD and shifters it's SRAM all the way). Don't give a rats ass what other people think. It's their problem not mine.
  24. Maybe you should Intense-ify your search for some more classified info.

    New Tires

Coolios. Ja jeesh, you really struggle to get HR's and Minions in SA. Maxxis in SA doesn't really seem to cater very well for the AM market.
