    I read Lowside of the Road: A Life of Tom Waits by Barney Hoskins. Really good read whether you're into his music or not. Such an interesting character (....that's probably the understatement of the century....)

    I have a road bike, and I must say I still prefer to do long road sessions on the hardtail. Just always feel jittery on the roadbike (...I guess that happens when you used to 780mm bars.... ) and not much slower on the hardtail. So maybe also consider building a lightish hard tail?

    Rode it on Saturday. Sadly I already had 2 hours of riding in my legs at the time of starting the section, otherwise I would have taken the record for sure. (....as you can hear, I still have some lactic acid in my brain....)

    Garden Route trail park over the weeked. The Loop of doom is just fricken massive. Gotto see it for yourself to appreciate the size.

    No jeesh, I haven't. Ex-RATM members joining up with whom? Jeepers would have luvved to see them live. Have seen a lot of the 90's bands (Peppers, Green day, Deftones. NIN, Tool etc etc) live, but RATM is the one I missed.

    Indeed. The main upside for forward cover is obviously that you know well in advance what your input costs are going to be and then you can plan accordingly. But of course from a cash flow point of view, you can either gain or lose a lot depending on forex movements. Some importers apply for a "blanket cover" arrangement with the SARB which allows them to take forward cover without presenting invoices at that time. Quite nifty, because then you can take cover at any given time when you see the Rand is strengthening.
