    I had a 26 inch Fuel EX many moons ago. To this day, still the best bike I've owned. (Yes Tracer, sorry you're the runner up).

    Hehe. Indeed. The place almost feels like it's stuck in the seventies (hmm.... maybe not such a bad thing... ). Sadly they're starting to develop the area, so it's losing a bit of its weirdness/flair.

    Snot bad. I have a Troy Lee A1 which I luv to bits, but it does get a bit toasty under the lid on hot days. Wonder how this one will do on a hot summers day in Jonkers. But then I guess this type of helmet is more focused on protection than ventilation.

    I never got lessons. Just read up a lot and checked a view instructional vids on Youtoob. Took me about 3 months to feel comfortable in the water. At the moment I do +-1h15min for the 3.8km swim in the full IM, which is not blistering pace, but quick enough for me. So I guess it's not essential to have lessons, but if you want to get ahead a bit quicker and not learn any bad habits, lessons will definitely help.

    I don't really care if they lose again, but can the players please just this time rock up for the game. Not one of them last week looked liked they actually wanted to be on the field. Really? Playing for your country in front of a packed Newlands and you can't give a sh*t. What a disgrace. Danie Craven must be turning in his grave.

    I honestly think just swap some pedals around for a start. If you get into the roadie thing and enjoy it, then you can always make the additional investment in shoes/pedals later.

    Well I don't even have road shoes. I've done 3 full IM's on the same shoes and pedals as I use on my mtb. But then again, I spend a lot more time on my mtb, so it obviously makes more sense for me to simply use the mtb shoes.

    If you guys enjoy the old Joy Division stuff, check out a band called Interpol. Their "Turn on the Bright lights" album I rate in my top 10 best alternative/indie albums. You struggle to get faultless albums, but this one is close as dammit.

    My favorite colleague at work. Her name's Saartjie. She rocked up at work about 8 years ago out of the blue and liked it so much, she decided to stay. Needless to say she gets spoilt rotten by everyone at work! Even organized her a kennel with cushy blankies. But she deserves it. Coolest cat ever.

    Ja it's sad that all our national rugby, cricket and soccer "stars" are made up to be such a great deal (not sure why, as they are forever losing with zero BMT.......I digress), but sadly if you ask the average oke on street who Greg is, you will get a blank stare.
