  1. Or maybe he just doesn't have the balls to come forward and identify himself and take the beating like a man
  2. Eina..... If I see riders on them I'll bump them off If I don't, I'll just keep a look eye out.
  3. No idea... only heard about the one.
  4. I should have mentioned this.... we used to hang the tyre in the air, on a hook, or just hold it above the ground. As long as the rim isn't lying in the tyre, else the air will just blow out.
  5. How we used to do it at the shop, was to take the tyre to the garage and pump it using their compressors... first we'd make sure the tyre is seated nicely, etc. The sudden massive rush of air should fill the tyre and seal it, but it's not a perfect science... sometimes it does take a few attempts, even with compressors.
  6. Depends on the condition. Wouldn't pay more than 15-18 perhaps? Seeing as it is a 2011.
  7. This. And the lawyer can't do anything against "all these people" if it's not true.
  8. In my case, both brakes. At maximum braking it's not too bad, but at "slow down braking" it sounds like a train.
  9. Ive got the same problem with my Mahura Mt4's. I'm used to it now. The best solution, or temp in my case, was to sand it down, clean it with 95% surgical spirits (ethanol) and then to bed them again. Check around here for the best way to do that though.
  10. His pricing may be high in terms of normal resale value, but you should remember, that in this case, the ASG auctions are priced ridiculously low (they are the distributors after all) - if a retailer did that, they'd be making a serious loss on the item.
  11. Should be an interesting comparison. @OP, yes, twisty sections ARE just better on a 26" over a 29er. It's one of the few downsides to a 29er, but not something that can't still be done on a 29er - ask any experienced 29er. All I know is I'm loving my 29er.... and yeah, rolling over stuff/ climbing bumps is just so awesome.
  12. Shakes is only a supplementary or a replacement for whatever you don't eat. If I'm not mistaken some good protein after a ride helps a heck of a lot, and as long as you nourish yourself properly during a ride you won't have an "empty tank" after your ride.
  13. Well spotted. It's a WTF moment
  14. My opinion? Drunk drivers (and rapists and whatnot) (edit: and [rhino] poachers too) should be locked up in a cage and let loose on a game farm where hunters can take potshots at them. But hey, that's just my opinion. Edit: see addendum.
  15. Smoother ride? Hehe. Titanium frames are ridiculously strong, but also ridiculously stiff. They deliver pretty hard rides since they have very little flex. If I can give an example... one of the guys in our club had a Bianchi Titanium frame.... awesome ride, but you feel every single bump. He swapped over to a Time for a few k's and said there was a very very very big difference in the ride. As to adding suspension to it, aka mtb's, I think it would solve some of the downsides to Ti frames though.
  16. Something like this perhaps? http://www.cape-epic.com/data/files/downloads/polar_training_program_20101006121320.pdf
  17. It was pretty hot. Hot ride + long ride + being chased on a dirt road by dogs.... awesome ride Wish I had footage, it would be pretty rofl.
  18. I meant as a finishing time Rides start (or should) at 5.30.
  19. Hah. You should try that here in Pretoria. It's 25C by 9am... just remember to pin a note to your shirt listing your next of kin. Way too hot now. Sure, it works for some people, but I for one can't do it. I bonk in 20min if I don't eat. However if you want to get the best out of the deal you should do a low exertion workout.
  20. I pump my tyres (also on sludge still) to 2.0 but then again I'm a bit lighter than you. 2.2 sounds good, you can go a tad harder. If you were on tubeless you would be able to drop to around 1.6 (seems to be general consensus for your weight on the Hub) .
  21. Maybe a mistake on the description of the gun then? And I quote "no glock would have a red marking on the barrel". You'd also be suprised how many hijackings/robberies take place using toy guns. Some of them look 100% real, even with the intentional markings (such as which air rifles, etc have).
  22. "red circle on front of barrel" .... a friend of mine knowledgeable in the field of firearms says it sounds like an airsoft pistol. http://topshotairsoft.com/library/Airsoft-Electric-Pistol-GLOCK17StyleAutoElectricPistol-JLS2011.jpg This is a plastic one, but you get steel ones too. The red circle in the front is level with the front on some of them.
  23. Not much as from a suggestion or what is best, but my training training wheels are shimano wheels that I ran on my Campy groupo, and it works fine, had no slipping from the chain vs cluster, but it wasn't a perfect match. More to do with the shifting I think. No idea on the price though, although I did see one go for around R600 a while ago. Think it was on a Mavic wheelset. http://www.chainreac...x?ModelID=50422 This is what you're looking for... so say about R800 based on a quick calculation? Edit: Cassette Compatiblity: • Shimano: Fits Shimano 10 speed cassettes only • Campagnolo: All 9/10/11 Campagnolo • Sram: Sram 8/9/10 and Shimano 8/9/10 You try fitting a Shimano cluster? The one in the link fits all of the above.
