  1. Wow. PK indeed
  2. Well #1 would already include #3 .... you can't sponsor a rider that's not allowed to ride But yes on the above.
  3. It's from Facebook. Mountain bike routes SA shared Berlize Du Plessis's photo. Mobile UploadsAt local MTB route. Africa is not for sissies! By: Berlize Du Plessis Share Not sure what it is, I'm just glad I haven't spotted any up here in Pretoria
  4. My sister's in the legal expertise and she said that personally, she would do just that.
  5. While it sounds funny, I'd certainly not laugh if this was the case and then you get whacked in an out of competition test. Although I am pretty certain they do consider such scenarios.
  6. Yup, I was just thinking about that now now..... a team is only as strong as it's weakest member.... in this case take it as being KE.... but they still won, so KE is losing out badly. This is now based on the assumption that DG being juiced didn't influence KE's performance as a motivator. I'd be pretty pissed having to return the prize money/ title because my teammate doped.
  7. Pfft. Just move Stellies to Pretoria! Not fair that we don't have such nice scenery.... or trails, within easy access.
  8. As above..... your bike is very very very far from an asset. It's a depreciation black hole. If you take out a loan for R31k you'll probably end up paying R40k for it and by that time it's worth 15k.... so you're losing 25k in just over a year. I do all my bicycle purchases with cash, paying it off is never a good idea.
  9. No they don't. They're accredited by the UK distributor for Campagnolo, but that's about it. Currently the only accreditation recognized here is reputation.
  10. .... and if that fails, new pads aren't that expensive. Oh, and clean your rotors too.
  11. Campy Vento's are good wheels but they are still pretty heavy (those ones). They weigh in at 1.9kg iirc. @alleyne Maybe save up a little more and then look at something better perhaps? The performance difference you'll get here isn't all that much.
  12. You hide the bodies?
  13. You should have taken the section of wire and strapped these laaitjies to the fence with it.
  14. Had a "tosser" with a big 4x4 and a trailer behind it that turned in front of me once, I left this long black snail-trail behind me as I tried to stop. Confronted the guy at the garage and he actually had the balls to complain about me shouting at him for almost killing me You get some idiot drivers
  15. Those ads would always come up during May/November.... exam time.... so while I'm driving to the exam venues, I'd hop radio stations until I didn't hear a FNB ad I got the Takealot email.... prices don't look too bad.
  16. When I got heatstroke in a race a few years ago I started shivering and getting goosebumps....
  17. Our labs don't have the capacity to provide a turnaround time of 2-3 days. At the Olympics they had something like 400 lab analysts working at a major labatory around the clock to test samples.
  18. My opinion, and I'm sure there are others that agree... 1. Yes, it's banned. Even recreational competitors are bound by the "I shall not use banned substances" clause that they agree to as a CSA member. 2. Using it even though you know you won't be tested, because you are at the back of the pack.... yeah, no comment. I'd rather not tell you how pathetic I think you are.
  19. Just what I wanted to say
  20. If the colleague is a he, there is one reason that clears it up for ever and ever. Tell him if he rides in front of you, wearing shorts, and you see his butt crack when he bends over, you're going to push him off the road.
  21. It's also interesting to note that in the race we had in Lesotho some years back, our pro's also rode with a 27/29 cluster.... sometimes hills are really nasty buggers.
  22. I maxed out my cadence on a 53-11 on a downhill behind a van once at 110*. Won't try it again. *Young and stupid too
  23. Hahaha. I've heard about Gu hitting seats too. But yes, it's a no-no.
