I have a 50mm rim brake darkhorse front wheel that lost a battle with an uber, broken and cracked in 3 places. Anyone want the hub and spokes (if still usable?). Collection in Claremont.

Laptop stays at work, not sure it would have survived the crash.

Don't write off the old backpack to soon. I had an uber turn in front of me on my way to work and ended up hitting him and going OTB, landed on my backpack and no injuries. (carbon front wheel not so lucky).

Here's the item from my order history, even cheaper than posted. There are still some that look like the same as Supacaz designs, my bet would be they're all the same.

I ordered some bar tape for my indoor bike. Temu had some Supacaz lookalike for R100 bucks, when it arrived it was packed in the exact same box that the original comes in and the actual product is indistinguishable from the real stuff, must have walked out of the same factory. Bought a couple more packs but I see it's gone from the site now.

Also had some heartbreak from @ group, 51 seconds short of a Sub 3. Was one of the better behaved groups that I can remember. Saw just the one guy go down hard after Smits at 60+km\h, watched him bounce and roll once he hit the deck. Had to come to a complete stop to avoid his bike that followed me to the left of the road. Hope he's okay!

I've successfully done the substitution. I had an issue the first time, it wouldn't let me enter the details of the rider's place I was taking, just put me in for an international entry. Emailed them at info@cycletour.co.za and it was resolved the same day. "Thank you for your substitution, this is to confirm that we have received the consent letter from the person withdrawing and you are now entered into the 2024 Cape Town Cycle Tour. We will notify you of your start time in the week leading up to the Cape Town Cycle Tour Registration"

I was A group and it was chaos when we were caught by B. I just missed the riders who went down on the train tracks, hope they are okay! Looked like it was 3 or 4 with one being a pure savage rider. Chatted to mate afterwards and he said there were matts over the tracks on the right hand side of the road but not on the left where we crossed.

I sold a helmet to a fellow hubber that I wasn't using anymore as I had one a new one. He contacted me and was pretty upset as it had some small cracks on the inside that I had never noticed. I refunded him in full + shipping, in the end I think he left a 5-star rating.

No issues with my Garmin 235 & 530 with an A52, however my wife's Garmin 25 sometimes has issues with her A32
