  1. Almost that time Everything ready for my 1x10 setup.
  2. phew! I was seriously doubting my courage - I'm pretty quick on that section, pushing my tyres' grip and quite frankly my bike control skills and I fall solid in the 45s bracket and I was looking at that time and going: WoW!
  3. I would pay to watch this Woodcutter segment go down... https://www.strava.com/activities/432959344/segments/10413863009 I honestly don't know how that is possible, but since I was not at the race - I will have to assume it was epic balls to the walls flying!
  4. About 5 minutes ago our receptionist brought me a featherweight envelope. Surprise surprise. Ordered on Friday, delivered this morning. Great service, good looking parts. 36t NW front, 40t expander sprocket and 16t in-between-er sprocket. Thanks Kalbo! Will post as soon as I've fitted. need to squeeze another 400-500km out of my current setup, just to make sure it is dead before I bury it.
  5. Early Christmas bonus FTW!
  6. I wonder if he's still keen after the rain and cold of yesterday? Did a 29th overall finish in the adventure - a pretty good start to the hat-trick.
  7. This needs a Pinkbike props
  8. Lift selfie. could not resist the urge...
  9. Had a climbing day yesterday in Jonkershoek, so tried to climb every single climb that I could find. every climb comes with a downhill section, so had a rad morning riding trails. Very impressed with how the Onza's handle the rocks and rough stuff. Never heard a rim ping or lose grip off-camber on a rock or slide out of control. Here I am on the way down from Groen huisie top - but the trail down is unfortunately destroyed by the fire.
  10. Anyone wearing the Rip Curl Search GPS? I'm very keen to get it, but would love a real world take on it - and not a pro surfer's review.
  11. Blurry photo of a spectacular Meerendal Sunset on Wednesday night.
  12. Man, I love those frames! The black/blue one is so flippen hot! Rad bike!
  13. My training is not even close to up-to-date and so yesterday morning I slipped out and did a dawnie ride from Welgevonden towards Paarl. Just thought I'd see how it goes, and ended up doing a long-ish ride past Elsenburg, Eenzaamhuid (worst dirt road I've ever been on - stutterbumps for days -I may or may not have swallowed one of my teeth), Agter Paarl, and then past Simondium and over Helshoogte pass and back. Pretty hard for my current fitness state, but still excellent ride.
  14. After my recent experience with Conti XKings, I've started using Onza's - and so far my experience, (grip, rolling, feel, wear) have been top notch!
  15. I played in playgrounds after work yesterday. As flat as I could get it. From the landing up - shows better style.
  16. now that's unlucky!
  17. Playday today after work, flat pedals on, sneakers, and low seat. All about whips and flatties, maybe an unturndown if all goes well...will have to see how it goes.
  18. The WHOLE new ChVrches album - Every open eye.
  19. Onza's 2.25 Canis R & Ibex F - seems skinny, will have to put it through its paces, and if it's too skinny, will get the 2.4 versions.
  20. effective marketing material. I want that bike NOW!
  21. unfortunately not today, but I wish it was:
  22. What would be the point of showing us what we can not have? It's like a fantastic concept car - just to bring us the next Juke... http://www.zcarblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/original.jpg Any way to make a day out of it - similar to what you guys did?
  23. I've been wearing my Rotary Aquaspeed for a couple of years. It's the Dolphin Standard watch so super waterproof and tough as nails.
