  6. Is this thread still alive? I've taken my bike out of storage last week and started playing about on it again... good times!
  7. Those Helderberg trails they are riding is pretty gnarly - rode it a couple weeks ago on my trail bike. That double black line was epic! They make it look flowy, for me it was anything but...
  8. 100%, ER.
  9. haha, we complain when we can't surf strand at least once a week... when guys in Jbay or West coast sometimes goes weeks without waves, so pretty happy with Strand. I have a quiver for all occasions - 7'6 mini for flat days, 6'2 diamond nose/diamond tail for decent days, and two short stubby fishes for playing.
  10. Thanks Skollie, I decided from the get go that I only shape fun boards - there's more than enough high performance shapers in SA and very few people can actually get the most out of a high performance board. I design my boards to the rider's weight, height, skill level, fitness level and a couple of other things - so that the board doesn't hold you back, and helps you to enjoy and progress your surfing. Just got my new shaping bay up and running, and by Friday my first two boards will roll out of the new bay. Good times.
  11. haha, yes it is. I still shape in Paarl, but has since moved to Somerset west.

  17. Great song by the Cars, excellent cover by Deftones:
  18. London Grammar does amazing covers (Kavinsky song for the Drive album - I'm a huge Kavinsky fan - and the cover is a super, albeit-very different, rendition of the song): Original: And London Grammar Bo Bruce is also flippen good (Kate Bush Cover): Original: Bo Bruce: Anna McLuckie with Get Lucky - Original by Daft Punk Ft Parrell: Original: Anna McLuckie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6yITGBAUO8

  20. hahaha! great wordplay! hats off
  21. My first Gran Fondo attempt on Saturday morning. Blessed with a perfect morning - amazing sunrise, no wind, and few cars along the way. Nailed it Trying to capture that moment before sunrise. And the moment right after. Took this and almost didn't spot the rolled over truck 50m after the sign - amusing sights of the morning. Shiraz country Slow hand, almost missed the sign... Almost home - one tired knee and an uneaten energy bar later. aaaand done!
  22. Pretty scenic place for a dawnie puncture - as far as places go to puncture. Paarl awakening.
