Also consider not all of the entrants are skilled bunch riders and with the conditions would not have survived the day or pissed a lot of people off. Personally I have a triathlon next weekend and after running a half marathon last weekend I thought better of it in the conditions on the day. That being said I had pretty much planned to not race before the weather. It would have cost me R180 to drive out there - so I could also look at it as R180 saved - excluding the extra's like food and drink, bars, gels et al

During summer Ill run to the beach from Tamboerskloof (around the waterfront) and meet my girlfriend there and if we go away for the weekend ill cycle out 2 hours before her and she collects me on the way. IDT helps with everything and I try have a back up work out if I can get out or the weather is *** - I also have a pull up bar and some weights at home The biggest challange I have is training early in the morning - im not a morning person and with my girlfried only getting home around 8 we only eat at 08h30/9pm and normally go to bed at 11h30 as that is the time we get to spend together so make it s hard to get up at 4am

You should be able to sell it quickly for between R3k and R3.5k - I just bought a 2nd 2 bike carrier for just over R2k Why not try swopping it with cash difference with someone? Might work out less

When I was last in Switzerland noticed this - a car will see pedestrians approaching a crossing - slow down, stop and let them cross before continuing. Pedestrians and cyclists have the right of way. Its the law

You also ride on the opposite side or the road. Different set of rules and road users (mentality). The OP was referring to this lot giving the rest a bad name and thus perpetuating road rage

What will the weighting towards your Argus seeding if you did this as well as Die Burger. Do they consider the last Argus as well - Ive already been 'fined' as I havnt done a seeded race in months (through Racetec/PPA anyways)

Half way through the bike it looked like there could have been a lot of winners (that when I went to bed) Performance of the day - Kyle Buckingham 16th overall - 6mins ahead of Craig Alexander. Not to bad for an age grouper

As far as I can see he was the first age grouper! Put 6 mins into Craig Alexander ....
