  1. Is the "Mission Briefing" (Joburg 6 and 7 Nov) worthwhile for a 70.3 virgin?
  2. depends how long you riding for...
  3. Lance made him
  4. In the age of the internet the fact that the papers are originally published in UK and France is irrelevant. Case law says the delict can be tried in any country where the defamed has suffered harm, and the defamed domicile is a logical place to start...
  5. In the real world I deal with this all the time. Amercan lawyers like to think that the entire world should submit to their law and they pretend they can ignore the decisions made in other courts. Cycling is a global sport not an American one, and the Swiss HQ'd UCI (who lets face it right or wrong many things have been said about them) have a right of recourse to courts... not saying I agree with them excercising that right against the likes of Kimmage for the record (that was a dumb and counter-productive move)
  6. That adds to the credibility of the court order then...
  7. Big quads? like this?http://www.quad-atv.za.net/Images/yamaha_big_bear_400_4x4_red.jpg

    Cricket......

I would have agreed in the past, but the thing is the proteas tend to play differently in these tourney's than in regular series - like they playing with fear. IN that context I actually think the term fits. At this point they can't even argue anymore - they will only shake the tag when they pick up a WC...
  11. got mine last week (great service from Michael btw... Done 1 ride so far and downloaded to sportstracks and found exactly that... so thanks for the tip on Golden Cheetah - going to download it now. For the ride I had to take a wild guess at my FTP before the ride and clearly was too low as spent the entire 3 hr ride well over it... Was impressed that the unit seemed to know when I wasn't peddling 80% of the time (had 3second power and %FTP dispayed). On the down side I had 3 or 4 occasions where my heart rate supposedly spiked to 225 giving ridiculous power figures. Anyone else had this issue? It was cold and windy so could be that the strap dried out a bit (issues were on fast downhills)... will be a bit annoying if this happens often.
  12. don't know - so far I have only seen them at Sunninghill. I see they have evaluation forms with the bikes so it may be a pilot to see what reaction is like before rolling out further...
  13. thanks spongebob . It has more impact when you say it with the rainbow. http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/325/426/1ec.jpg
  14. availibility remains hit and miss. still my biggest gripe with FL.
  15. SAPO they use UTi....
  16. I believe it comes at a bit of a premium elsewhere in the world, so expect the same plus a bit here (toyota have the ablity to offset duties on imports with their export program which Subaru don't...

    Formula 1...

Lewis banking a lot on Merc and Brawn for the new engine regs I reckon... I see next year being one of frustration for him. From where I'm sitting he should have stayed, but ja, maybe he was just in a rut as coolcat said and needed to make the move for himself... As for Button being No.1 I see him battling to asert that - Perez is the complete package. Reckon Ferrari will kick themselves in a year or 2 that they didn't give him Massa's seat...
  19. Sunninghill VA.. i also sometimes go to Bedfordview and Greenstone VA's but neither have them as yet so not sure how wide spread they are.
  20. haha good point - that is pretty much standard spelling for da hub
  21. Guess not... zero views after 2 hours! maybe should change the title to Roadie pig isheep or something. Where's sponge bob to say "Nobody cares" when you need him?
  22. +1
  23. Anyone tried out one of these? http://wattbike.com/uk/wattbike My gym recently got a few and I have done a few sessions now. Very interesting to watch in the polar view how consistent (or inconcistent) power delivery is through the pedal stroke and how small changes change this. I was also very surprised to see that my left leg consistently does 51% of the work - would have bet it was the other way around...
  24. both beat looking at pics of borats running up hills in mankini's - that is sadder-est. I like the Mclaren bum - in dirty sort of way...
