  1. possibly try www.comobike.com. they will ship and pay VAT for you, so the price online is what you pay in total.
  2. I have a road saddle on my MTB. My theory, if you are comfortable, then use whatever saddle you want. Just be comfortable, no sores, etc.
  3. Out of curiosity, what is the going price for CrossMarks? The Toooobluss version??
  4. Gareth Cliff... yes well... what can we say...
  5. OK, have read the last 13 odd pages of this and can agree on certain points. This is not a race thing, please stop trying to put it down to that, everytime that someone brings up colour, someone else shouts racist. For crying out loud. I have been clipped by many different folks in my almost 17 years on a bike. Some pros, some amatuers. don't think it is a colour thing, it is a skill/awareness thing. Yes the Acsis guys seem to have a bad rep, i cannot comment on that as i have never been around them, but there are some folks that I would have loved to slap more then once. However, sympathies, those roasties look Horrible, hope they heal quict and that you are back on the bike Quick fast. All the best for recovering.
  6. Use it in conjunction with a protein shake. very happy recover well.. can't really complain, am not one for to much synthetic stuff...
  7. Oh Please, do share????
  8. I used chamois cream, Fissan paste, tea tree oil, etc. Still prefer the Milking cream... My wife is my supplier.. don't know if same brand as you want, but...
  9. If you are using version 4 then - http://www.polar.fi/en/support/downloads?product=&category=Software If using 5, then you can only get a 30 day trial
  10. Think you can download from Polars site
  11. Besides most banks have 1 generic EFT branch code, so you don't even need to know. Just the banks name will do.
  12. Look, i am not commenting on anyone complaining or any business palns, but if the guy won, then he does deserve the prize money. If it is going to take time, communicate that. And as to the mere R1500 comment, you must be doing very well, because I would not turn my nose at R1500.
  13. The challenge though is that Championchip never respond to questions. I agree that the flaming could be directed to the organiser, however, the issue is timing so the first place I would think to go is to the timimng company. I could be wrong, but that is the way I think. If they have not been paid as yet, then I am fully behind them, they need to get paid for their service. I would however, appreciate an answer telling us that this is the reason that they will not release the results. As to cycle events, yes, they do deliver a service that I personally value greatly and yes for no fee which I truely appreciate. They update once a month and I think that the last one was the 21st Jan, so the Bakwena could be on already if the files had been sent through to Cycle events to put on the seeding index (the race was almost 3 months ago). Cycle events do respond to mails and, from what I understand, are waiting for the files from the timing company. No one here flamed cycle events, that i can see.
  14. Btw. no luck in trying to get an answer from CChip. Do they still exist? Think they do, they just ignore people though. Also been trying for a while...
  15. That was a very nice bike...Eye Candy of note. was sitting next to him for a while...
  16. From what I can see is that the group that UCI see you as is elite, but the local racing is below that. I have the same, elite UCI and then a vets 30 - 34 below. I am starting at 5h55 on Sunday, the same as you
  17. 09h00 - 17h00 both days
  18. Went at about 10, sorted, 5 minutes and done. They check for licences for the racing groups, but very organised.
  19. From SA Weather: Sunday 25/01 80% confidence Cloudy at times 15?c 29?c AM:30%, Thunderstorms PM:30%, Thunderstorms AM:Light North Easterly, 5 Knots PM:Light North Easterly, 5 Knots
  20. Ok, here is a question. 94.7 certificate gives me a resurt seeding index of 12.88, yes I am slow... but the Supercycling site gives me 13.105, why the difference? Same time for the winners and same time for me on both sides, but the Index comes back different. Any Ideas?
  21. well, no point in posting my original, all comments already out...Pickled2009-01-15 06:22:56
  22. Does anyone have these? what are they like, would you recommend them? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Images/Models/Full/20794.Jpg
  23. Ok, so kind of on topic, what is the diffs between 2.2 and 2.4 is that the width of the tyre? also is one more suited to a use then the other. eg, why would you take a 2.4 over a 2.2?

    Degreasing

Depends on how dirty the bike is. MTB generally bi-weekly unless i have managed to keep it clean. I seem to manage to get dirt in to all sorts of parts. The only way I seem to get it properly clean is doing that. Also take the crank off every now and then to get the stupid grinding sound out. Road' date=' cluster comes off bi weelky aswell depending on how much rain and dirt i get thrown up. I am a bit of a clean freak so...[/quote']how long does a bike clean take you then ?bi weekly ? thats alot - I mean how much timedo you have on your hands? Yeah, like i say depends on how clean i can keep it. a clean generally takes me about 30 mins...
