  1. Agree, one becomes the filter... until you start growing stones in your kidney... ouch!
  2. You're the man, V12! I just phone them and they have them for R320. Much better. Thanks mate!
  3. Thank you for bringing this post to the fore, guys. I was lazy to look for it. I don't want to interrupt your exchange but.... does anyone know where to buy water filters for a Saeco Incanto super automatic? I bought it at Hirsch's but their prices are a bit excessive ... R480 for one filter. The other alternative is just to fill the reservoir with Brita filtered water...
  4. I totally agree. It's the most hideous piece of crap ever fitted to any car.
  5. You got the director right!
  6. Just turned 56. I haven't been to the gym for almost 2 years and I don't miss it. I only ride on weekends a minimum of 30 to 35 km on a Saturday and Sundays a shorter ride. That's when I feel 15 again. During holidays I try to ride as much as possible. I rarely get sick and the only med I take is Centrum 50+, if you wanna call it med. My 20 year old suit still fits me perfectly. All thanks to cycling
  7. Thanks for your suggestion, coppi. After much deliberation I decided to pay a bit more and went for the Saeco Incanto at R10k on special at Hirschs. So far I'm very happy.
  8. Hi coffee junkies, My loyal entry level Krups espresso machine packed-up after 2.5 years of service - it just can't reach the required temperatures so the coffee and the frof milk come out very, let's say, ***. This happened 7 months ago and I've deprived myself and my gorgeous woman of a decent capuccino in the mornings. Why? Because I've been trying to find something similar in that price range (R2,000 when bought it at Boardmans in 2013) with a porta filter and wand. Also, times have changed and it looks like for home use is either pods or fully automated bean to cup machines. Although Nespressos can be found at the above price range for ecological and other reasons we've decided not to go that route, so that leaves the fully automated ones. So, I decided to bite the bullet and allocated a budget of R8,000 for a new machine. I've narrowed down the following models: Delonghi ESAM4500 R7,999.99 - Hirsch's Philips SAECO 3100 series HD 8834/01 - R7,799.99 Hirsch's After extensive research I can't make up my mind. There doesn't seem to be that much difference and one thing that's tipping the scale towards the Philips is the warranty (2 years versus 1 of the Delonghi). What's your opinions?
  9. Sad, sad news. The Hub won't be the same without him. Barry, we'll remember your kindness, friendliness and young spirit forever. RIP, my friend.
  10. Amazing support from the Hubber community! Come on Barry, Tumbles, Holy Roller! Your family, friends, dogs and bicycles are waiting for you! We know you can do it!
  11. I'm sure he'll pull through. He always has.
  12. He's really an awesome guy. I met him twice at a couple of mine dump rides many years ago. I'll be thinking of him and wishing for a quick recovery. Come on, Barry!
  13. Narcos season 2 started last Friday, yay! We're also hooked to Bates Motel.
  14. I use the steam spout in my Krupps coffee machine. I've had it for 4 years with no issues. Only now. I blame it on the milk but maybe it could be machine in need of service.
  15. I actually prefer 2% milk because the full cream wouldn't frof as nicely. I might need to rethink that and improve my technique. :-)
  16. Good morning - for the past 2 weeks the Clover 2% long life milk is not frothing the way it used to. This morning I opened a new one and it didn't froth at all. I checked the frothing spout and there's nothing wrong with it. Anyone experiencing a similar problem?
  17. Just finished Narcos season 1. Can't wait for season 2!
  18. Watched it last night on Netflix. Very good... and long!
  19. No issues with Ryder sealant after 2.5 years. I definitely recommend it.
  20. Awesome reading, do not miss!
  21. After a year without dstv I started to watch my Northern Exposure collection. They don't make TV series like that anymore.
  22. It's ironic that two Marussia drivers had similar accidents. The other one being Maria de Villota who lost an eye and died months later.
  23. Tog. Poor guy. I really hope he makes it.
