  1. If its not too wet and your brake bleed is not a problem and everything is clean do a ride on organic pads. The sintered pads are very unforgiving and react badly to dust.
  2. Oil contamination, dust, sticky cylinder not returning. Is the pressure still there. Which brakes?
  3. What range would a frame like this cost?
  4. Jeez thats crap. Glad you guys are ok. Spent time on Sunday cleaning some alarm beams. Full of spider exoskeletons. We were getting false alarms.
  5. Funny how when there's a thread about Cajees bad service, everyone's on the bandwagon but when they do something good....... Glad you got sorted. Those resin pads wont serve you well when our summer rains come. Great in the dry though.
  6. Going to tell my wife that I was right on the internet. If I was still playing the field I would score so many chicks with this.
  7. I'm not 100% sure but thought I saw the elite men on the start ramp with road clip ins and road shoes.
  8. A reason why I bought the Julbos is cos they have optical inserts and I wasnt prepared to pay for Rudy at the time. Wish I had though. My specs with inserts are unrideable in the wet or if they start fogging up from sweat.
  9. What's up with the bmxers using road pedals and shoes?
  10. Do photochromic lenses do as good a job as regular in protecting the eyes? I use Julbo glasses which are meant to have a high uv protection rating. They are climbing glasses. I feel like I get eye sunburn on long rides. Is it Julbo or photochromic in general?
  11. Yup, 17 jointly by SA and ABs being viewed as a tier 1 nation. I think we'll squeeze it.
  12. Brilliant. You are really doing this build justice by putting this fork on.
  13. That is so gorgeous I almost...... Where? How much?
  14. Very happy to buy guide books and such but have found too often that these are just an expensive version of whats readily available on the net. Saw this book in the Rosebank Gazette and wonder if anyone's read it. Useful/Useless?
  15. I reckon you need to take seatposts out. I was actually thinking of going to Thule and asking "ok smartass, show me".
  16. Badminton....so dirty.
  17. Definitely. Although the Thule Pro Ride on the roof is so quick to put on. I have a 3 bike carrier and I dread the day I have to play bike Tetris to try and get 3 mountain bikes on.
  18. It's the standing rack. Totally agree with you re hanging racks.
  19. In a nutshell, dope and get a pro ride or go home clean and do fun rides.
  20. And how the proceeds of the book are being used? Maybe he should pay all his supporters back, the people that donated to his legal fees.
  21. Have read the book. What interests me is how often it's mentioned that cyclists are put in a position where doping is the only alternative. I would like to know what he thinks of the cyclists who stood up for what they believed in and walked away. Perhaps there arent any. Much like corruption. Well, everyone is doing it so I might as well too.
  22. Those parts are awesome. Why the slx brakes though? XT? You wont feel the difference but the same can be said for all the xtr bling. Where will your first ride be? You gotta start planning.
  23. Just damaged another tow bar mounted rack on my way back from the Berg. If you spend your life on tar the differences are less of an issue. Travelling on dirt roads with a rear mounted carrier stuffs up the bikes and carrier.
  24. Seems like it's the same bunch of tit bits doing the rounds. Wish this process was judicial in nature to stop this rumour mill. Wonder if these guys still have visible scarring?
  25. Or caught in clip/unclip limbo. Disaster. Where is that? By the funny little garden? I'm thing of something that actually simulates a proper curb. Gives newbs a real sense of a road crossing. Going to join one of your slow n unfit rides as soon as I can.
