  1. Yellowsaddle.co.za. Johan based in Jozi but does regular courses in Slaapstad.
  2. Have a look at some of the Chris Carmichael training material.
  3. Arrived yesterday. Brooks Swift Ti.
  4. Recently stripped a small philips screw off reservoir cover. Used a small drillbit to round the stripped star and then gently tapped a torq bit in which was just big enough to groove and hold onto the screw to undo. Not sure it would work with a rotor bolt due to being tighter but much better than cutting a flat groove.
  5. I have one you can borrow to check your setup.
  6. Any one have any experience with this online shop? Was interested in a product via their newsletter but they don't respond to queries about the product.
  7. Ordered my Swift. We wait in antici......pation.
  8. I have a seat for my single speed and a trailer for the full sus. Neither is good on dirt. Trailer is more convenient in that mine can fit luggage under seat and unhitching is a 10 sec exercise. Just thought it would be easier than brazing mounts. Trailer is much more stable than rear mounted sead too and I never find the length a problem.
  9. Have you considered a trailer? By the time you've bought panniers, bags and done the brazing......
  10. I hear you. But.... Djokovic had some form of food intolerance which he sorted out and lost weight which pushed up his energy levels whereafter he won all his grand slams and has become no 1 mens player. Apart from obvious different morphologies (serena vs maria as an eg) is it not possible that some of these tennis players might be missing a key ingredient in performance improvement. This all assuming that losing a few kilos round the waist would assist in performance improvement. I think I could be a prime guinea pig for some sort of experiment. I may have some value to science.
  11. I was thinking about this whilst watching the tennis last night. There were a number of women who seem to carry excess weight. From the amount of training these ladies do I would think that it would be impossible to have any adipose tissue at all. Is it a case of them not eating properly or simply that being their body type? My own imperfections are due to laziness and improper diet.
  12. I think their prescence adds to safety in certain places. By having people staying there, it's not lonely and remote which would make it easier for criminals to hide in wait. These guys dont want trouble and the resultant cops combing their little camps.

Get quite a few mags on my iPad. Nice to have quite a bit of reading conveniently stored in one device but its still not quite like picking up a paper mag.
  16. Not 100% familiar with your model but also check that the servowave adjustment is set midway when bleeding. You might want to check the effect adjusting it has on the bite point.
  17. My favourite clip.
  18. Are there any custom boutique frame builders in SA?
  19. Back to the topic and throw a cat amongst the pigeons. Have been using a Suunto for many years. Tried the gps pod which although worked well was problematic from the point of using aa batteries without a level indicator hence batteries running out during rides. Otherwise a handy tool but with no mapping function. Sold the pod which I now regret as I have a really cool charger that conditions batteries and works well for my current set up. My interest is to log and map longer outrides and trails. My iPhone would work well but I need as much battery as possible as it is my emergency contact device and don't want the chance of draining this in an emergency. Have settled on an Oregon 300. This is a pukka gps with great readability in sunlight. Proper mapping with options to link heart rate belt and cadence. It is NOT an edge 500/800, is chunkier and without specific training functionality. It is a real gps that fits ok onto the bars, can double up for hiking and in car use. makes use of 2 aa batteries which does help when out of ac range for prolonged time.
  20. Really? Will catch it on the fancy flat screen then. Bit worried about going to a place called the Labia. Who on earth.........
  21. Potholes is what they should worry about.
  22. In CT for work next week. Anyone have 2 spare tickets for An Epic Tale for Tuesday 20 March show?
  23. Question from a layman. You take a photo of me without my knowledge and use it for whatever commercial purposes. What rights do I have as the individual in the image as opposed to the photographer who took the photo?
  24. This happened to me last year. When I took it up with PO they said they'd need to send the second package, a bike stand, back to customs for them to open, inspect and make a call. I decided to pay the VAT on the spot. I took it up with CRC who refunded me the VAT immediately, no problem.
  25. Have you ever stopped to clear the broken bottles off the track so the next guy doesn't have the same issue or do you just curse and wait for the brother to come along and sweep it for you?
