One LBS in Claremont has extremely slow service. Huge variety but why must I wait in the store for ages??? I support the other LBS just up the road and if they are much more expensive I will order online. But the best thing to do is get prices from online stores and see if the lbs will beat that price. No need to kick your lbs (by never supporting them if they actually want you as a customer) as they are very helpful when needed!!!
