  1. I think StupidSport have lost it. This feature on the Sani2C was nothing more than a documentary giving free publicity to a whole array of businesses and charities hosted by a guy who really should have been nowhere near a mic. It's so typical of the contempt that we, as monthly subscribers, are held in by DSTV. Thanks goodness for streaming video of cycling.
  2. SAPS take the view that no crime has been committed until the goods are delivered. Intent to commit fraud doesn't seem to be a crime in Africa.
  3. Bikes are a growth market and SW see the chance to rip off some uninformed newbies.
  4. That's first indication it's fraudulent, paying asking price by EFT for collection or courier. Try sell a phone on one of these dodgy sites, no discussion about price but payment confirmation never comes from bank but from buyer. I have learnt to check the properties tab, title and author are the give away. And the programme used for creation. 2 images of properties, 0005 is the proof posted in this thread, 0006 is a genuine proof. We have the problem in our business weekly, customer buys good and pays (via credit card) a premium for overnight to door delivery. Security checks with the bank 9 times out of 10 reveal it as a stolen card. Other 1 time the customer is grateful we are checking.
  5. Taylor Phinney has damaged his 4th set of kit and it's only Stage 4. Saves washing them I suppose.
  6. Peace be with you too!
  7. Bearing migration should be reset every 50 hours riding. Other than that the fork should be service annually. Check the boot after every ride when you wash your bike, if damaged replace before you ride again.
  8. SS. RAI is in Italian so all I get is the emotion. I watch Eurosport with Sean Kelly. He's a legend.
  9. And most likely the commentary will be up to **** as well.
  10. Cav fall in final sprint EDIT: My posting is like my sprinting, too slow
  11. Ideal for replying to a motorist use of the hooter? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTQSWtK65PE&feature=player_embedded
  12. Hopefully their "blog or something" will be readable.
  13. +1, no need to have the wheel magnet
  14. Have you got the wheel magnet installed?
  15. So, what we need is either an area where you can stand so the salesman knows you are ready to be be helped, or a paddle you can hold up that says "Help Me!"
  16. Two drunken grandparents were arrested for using their vehicle to pull their 7-year-old granddaughter in a toy car, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office said. Belinda and Paul Berloni were arrested on Sunday after a deputy in a marked patrol car saw the SUV pulling a "small plastic hot wheels car" along an access road, authorities said. The vehicle was going about five to 10 miles per hour, the probable cause affidavit said. The girl was wearing a bathing suit with no protective gear, authorities said. The toy car was attached to the SUV with two dog leashes tied to the trailer hitch, the affidavit said. source - msnbc.com.
  17. This is THE major draw back of mountain biking now that it has become the new golf. So many riders with little consideration of what others may be doing and little understanding of the lines and run offs when travelling at speed. Bet they are all having a chuckle over a beer at "that guy that wiped out right in front of us" too.
  18. Not only is he a lunatic, he rides a bike like he's stolen it! His ability and courage are amazing.
  19. Try AVS4you software, got something for every need. Reasonably priced too. http://www.avs4you.com/
  20. The BBC are to air a documentary that uses helmet cameras to explore the growing conflict between cyclists and motorists on Britain's roads. The broadcaster says the one-off hour long film, The War On Britain’s Roads, will "parachute (viewers) into the middle of a war that is raging between two-wheeled road users and their four-wheeled counterparts". http://www.bikeradar.com/commuting/news/article/bbc-helmet-cam-film-to-explore-cyclist-motorist-conflict-33840/ Imagine the SABC doing something like this? No, I can't either. But I'm sure the BBC version will be pretty scary viewing when aired.
  21. They are both waaaay too old to be anything other than domestiques, JB's take over of Leopard has really backfired so far this season. The Leopard guys are crashing out and he is left with his RS old age pensioners. And then there are the rumours of the Schlecks not getting on with him. Not hard to imagine being true. Grumpy is too kind. JB is a throwback to the days of anything goes in cycling and without that "anything" he is clutching at straws. The team he put together at RS (prior to Leopard merger) was made up of yesterday's men, not the new generation.
  22. And then you can get this to show off all your medals: https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=hubmarket&do=view_item&item_id=26892
  23. Had to be a Nissan
  24. That school of thought is wrong. A slight miss alignment of the sensor and the magnet stuffs it all up, speed is wrong and distance is wrong. I have found using the sensor for speed/distance is useless.
