  2. Those xperias are nice........ I think I'll get myself 1
  3. If you want my honest opinion.......... I'd go for the Polar. The quality and pedigree is better than all other available Bluetooth HRM sensors.......... And they support the product locally........ I don't know why they don't bring it in, But they do support it locally, and they honour warranties.......... GO FIGURE
  4. SPorts Tracker :-)
  5. I had mine delivered, insured, and all inclusive for less than that. Make sure you deduct the 23% EU VAT
  6. Which Handset do you have? The ANT+ receiver is a deal maker.......... If I can get a ANT+ phone I'll have a backup computer.
  7. Yes there WAS one for Sale. I have recently Sold it to a happy NEW OWNER :-) On the HR Monitor.......... Polar have one, but its not available locally. You Would think the Polar Distributors in SA would have responded to the DEMAND by now. But they (IHF) have decided not to bring them in. There is a SportsTracker HRM compatible with most apps (www.sports-tracker.com). It costs the same as the Polar Model. If you really want to use your phone, you will have to import it. It should arrive in a week, depending on your Delivery Method. The cost is 69 Euro, but the knock off 23% (EU VAT), and then you have to pay ZA VAT (14%) So if you decide to take the cheapest delivery, you should get it for between R600 and R700. Good Luck
  8. Conti, Spez, Kenda, etc. has thir own branded tubeless tyres because of the royalties. I use a Floor pump to inflate my Spez 2bliss tyres. Sometimes i need to pump it up once or twice, but after that, they're pretty solid.
  9. My LBS has Tons of stock......... 29" and 26"....... But any store that stocks Specialized goods should have. If you have trouble, you can ask my LBS to send to you. But I'm sure you'll get it in Jozi
  10. Try the Specialized Fast Trak Control 2bliss. Lightweight, tubeless, good balance between grip and rolling resistance, and they are only R380
  11. Yep...... Sunday was amazing at Oak Valley. A bit chilly early on, but it warmed up nicely YOU MISSED OUT
  12. You get steel ones too. Ryder or RavX. So it's strong enough for the bigger bomb
  13. Stans is the best. Try not to bomb it though.............. The CO2 cartridges has been known to crystalize some of the sealant, garage, or even footpump.
  14. I've dealt with Jason at BBT too. I've had good experiences with them. He even replies to my mail on Sat evenings, when I'm being a difficult customer :-) On theAltitude gain issue, I've noticed that as well, but it's not really an issue. I noticed differences in all analysis applications. Depending on your application (Sport Tracks, Bryton Sport, Garmin, etc) the uphill or downhill would only be recorded as a climb or Descent if the gradient exceeds a certain %. So for certain apps you have to exceed 4% gradient for a part of a route to be classified as a Climb, and hence accumualate your altitude gain numbers, Some apps will record a climb at 2%. Therfore the Alt gain on each app will look different. The number you see during you ride, or in your summarry probably does not use this min% gradient to record a climb. That is why the device recorded Alt Gain, and the Analysis Application Alt Gain would almost always be different, and It would probably differ from application to application too. I hope that wasn't too long winded :-)
  15. If your Garmin belt has a removable transmitter that clips onto the belt, you may be able to use the Polar Strap. I am Currently using my Polar Strap with The ANT+ transmitter from my Bryton unit....... Works Perfectly. If you can clip the transmitter onto the front of your polar wearlink belt and it doesn't pop off. You should be GOOD TO GO. The computer pairs with the transmitter, and not the belt.
  16. You should try the SportsTracker site (www.sports-tracker.com). Not all of the features that the bryton site has, but easy to use, easy to access, and you can embed (post to) twitter and facebook. And you don't need to run the application. just upload gpx files..... The bryton HRM extension is proprietry so you wont have any Heart Rate stats............ But for online, sportstracker is pretty much the best, but for local analysis, you don't get much better than Sport Tracks.....
  17. I am already using SportTracks3...... Great Product. But in order for me to Export the GPX or BDX I need t log in to brytonsport.com, upload, and then export, and that is the issue. The Website is slow, and if you Internet is not amazing, you get nowhere. I checked on the SportTracks forums, and they support the proprietry extensions, but not the direct export like with the Garmin devices. PITY though :-(..... once they support that, I'll be going for the full version, and use nothing else SportTracks is the money.......... It's pretty amazing for a free tool. I'm not using it as much now...... when I do, I can go full version

Personal Trainer Programme, Interval training based programmes, Simple workouts (input time, distance and calorie goals), Advanced workouts (create custom, goal-oriented workouts), Personal Scheduled Workouts, PreLoaded Workouts, Preloaded tests to determine more accurate MaxHR, Lactate Threshold HR, Functional Threshold Power, Max Aerobic Power, GPS Power management.
  19. HI Guys. I heard of people complaining about Garmin Software, etc. I recently Purchased a Bryton Rider 40....... VERY NICE. It has a few features over and above the Garmin 500. So here's my question........ How do Bryton Owners find Bryton Bridge and the brytonsport.com website? I spoke to Jason at Bryton SA and he was very helpfull (Their local Support is great). He explained why they don't have an export feature, and it makes sense. They need to keep the devices updated, and so on. Legitimate reasons I might add....... BUT. The web appliction just doesn't work that well for me, unless I have great 3G signal. Other sites load fine, but not brytonsport. It works well once your network is amazing. I'd just like to know if anyone else out there is experiencing the same?. Thanks AK
  20. I found the following with my elixer 5's...... Which are similar..... I Think When you tighten the caliper bolts the caliper actually pushes too deep over the rotor (or the rotor too deep into the caliper-same thing). So its the Vertical alignment that is the issue, and not the lateral alignment (Brake Pad Alignment). I fixed this issue by moving 1 of those spacer washers from between the bolt head and caliper, to between the caliper and adaptor. Thus moving the caliper that 1-2mm away from the frame. This solved my issue, and the contact between the pad and rotor was still great.
  21. Thats Probably your best option. That being said, on the slimed tube.......... Use a bigger patch, and once patched put a weight on the patch, and let it stand for a while. I've done this successfully a few times. But Tubeless is the way to go.
  22. I find their Web application SUCKS........ It just doesn't work as well. No Direct export option :-(
  23. Brakes and Rotors? That's what I did. Is there a huge difference in the wheelset?
  24. Yeah. I Kinda figured that. Pity though. I think this rack is a huge improvement on som of their other options if you don't have a towbar.
  25. THULE Raceway. I have One. Its got a good Strong Ratchet System, and it locks. You get a hanger Style rack, and a Ride On
