  1. I'm in your area..... and I have one....... I'll show you how to get the best out of the device......... Maybe next time you ride Oak Valley
  2. Its on the same screen as when you upload workouts (Device Management)...... Just a different TAB
  3. I think he meant, after reviewing the recorded trip, he could see from the graph that the signal dropped out 3-4 times :-)
  4. The wireless sensors do not chow battery........ Definitely not as much as a BB...... LOL What I nwould do is change the battery in your cadence sensor, and try to tilt it a bit so that it's closer to the magnet on the crank arm. I had a similar problem with the cadence sensor........ And since I made those 2 changes I had no issues, and I did about 60hrs on the bike............ Still going strong. Bryton does definitely not take long to get GPS Signal. You can, however, set the GPS sensitivity to be more sensitive, ie. gt signal quicker, and maintain signal better. It does use more battery though, but that doesn't seem to be a problem with the Brytons.
  5. You should setup your screens. Go to Settings>Display>Meter> and continue setting up how many Screens you want, how many Tiles of data you want to see per screen (Cadence, Speed, HR, Temp, Alt., etc-Max 6data fields per screen), and what you want those tiles/data fields to display. Therer are a multitude of options. I think there may be around 50 data fields to choose from. You will probably play with this settings a bit, before yousettle in with what you want to see on your display.
  6. Its a bit smaller actually.
  7. +1 Justbe gentle...... but the tighter the fit on the rim, the better tyre will seat
  8. 710-720 would be the perfect balance...... take the plunge. If you don't like it you'll sell it off easily. I ride 710 in woody single track......... no issues with branches You'll notice the extra control immediately. You'll be more comfortable in your ride
  9. 710mmm with 15-25mm rise....... Very comfy and lots of control. You'll notice a big difference from 660 to 710 in the control of the bike KCNC SC Bone or Easton EA70
  10. Nah........ Thats an old Bike, Not that great of a buy They made massive changes in the Frame and pivot technology in 2012.......... The 2012 XT-D has Fox front and rear suspension, and XT Components
  11. 2012 models brand new with XT Components R15999 and you can knock them down a bit from that. If you're in CPT...... Try Revolution Cycles in Bree Street....... Somerset west.... Try Helderberg Cycle World. I know they still have Stock,. Full retail on those bikes, 2012 and 2013 is R22500, and there is no difference in spec, except the Colour Scheme
  12. Specialized Fast Trak Lo Knob. I have a full tyre test result doc, where each aspect of the tyre is rated, as well as overall rating. See attachment. TyreTests.zip
  13. Just by a minute........ Sorry bud :-)
  14. It may have something to do with STI's or the MTB integrated shifter and brake lever, and the rear derailluer was always controlled on the right lever, so the rear brake then ended up on the right hand side too....... Just guessing
  15. Merida Big Nine TFS 100-D 29er
  16. It supports all ANT+ Power meters
  17. Nope......... The well ventilated Lenses don't fog up that badly. That is when you are moving.....lol. So don't stop :-)
  18. The Adidas one has a thin rim, and a roundish shape. The others, like 720 Armour, have a shape that follows the shape of the actual sunglasses. Do some research. I think the 720 Armour is the most value for money. The Ocean eyeware is not bad too. I think my nextr purchase will be the evil eye half rim, with the insert you don't like........ lol What don't you like about the Adidas insert?
  19. I have a pair of cycling glasses with the Prescription insert. They do make a major difference. You will notice after even your 1st ride. Its pretty simple...... Depends on your budget really. If your budget is R3000 and above you can go for the Rudy Project, or Adidas Evil Eye/Half Rim (RX insert) If you budget is closer to R1500 You can go for a pair of 720 Armour (RX Insert) If your budget is R500-R650 then try Ocean Eyeware with the RX insert. PS. I have the 720 Armour.
  20. There are a few rides you can download from the site brytonsport.com, or can upload any .gpx file to follow....... so anyone of your friends old tracks will do, and any of your old tracks (if you have). If you want, I have some Oak Valley routes.
  21. If it includes the complete bundle, the R1300 is indeed a great deal, but bear in mind, you will be buying 2011 technology.
  22. That would constitute a Bundle as we typically understand it to be.
  23. Exerpt from another thread - https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/113884-bryton-gps-very-inaccurate/page__hl__bryton__st__32 On theAltitude gain issue, I've noticed that as well, but it's not really an issue. I noticed differences in all analysis applications. Depending on your application (Sport Tracks, Bryton Sport, Garmin, etc) the uphill or downhill would only be recorded as a climb or Descent if the gradient exceeds a certain %. So for certain apps you have to exceed 4% gradient for a part of a route to be classified as a Climb, and hence accumualate your altitude gain numbers, Some apps will record a climb at 2%. Therfore the Alt gain on each app will look different. The number you see during you ride, or in your summarry probably does not use this min% gradient to record a climb. That is why the device recorded Alt Gain, and the Analysis Application Alt Gain would almost always be different, and It would probably differ from application to application too. I hope that wasn't too long winded :-)
  24. Has the update been released yet?
  25. That deal is not as good as it sounds......... unless it includes the cadence and speed sensors. The 35 is an old model It has been replaced by the Rider40. You should be paying less than R2000 for the full bundle (Rider35) from an online store. That being said, the unit is not that bad. Battery life is a big plus. The fact that you have to upload to their site first is a real bummer. But other than that, its a nice unit.
