  1. Thanks. I saw that. Must mean they didn't really set the Sir Chris Hoy velodrome on fire!

  3. Is there any news coming out of Glasgow? Please share. They must be well into the heats?
  4. Have fun. Would've loved to join you's
  5. When is it kicking off
  6. What happened that he missed the podium? Saw a pic of the final 3 and wondered! (I missed the entire last week of the Tour and only just finished reading this thread)
  7. Any other reviews on this product? Users?
  8. haha! Might be easier done than said. I think I'm the only one uploading data at the moment!
  9. All that must come with the territory surely. I dont think anyone will ever be able to lead the Tour without having to deal with this.
  10. Ouch! @lancearmstrong. She need to employ a PR consultant!
  11. Yeah me too! Correct me if I'm wrong I got the feeling those in the know wanted us to believe that 6.4w/kg is just not possible without some illegal juice. But of course, it would be against human nature not to develop the ways and means to allow us to improve continually. I think there is always the possibility of CF taking things to the next level (otherwise how then does Usain Bolt achieve this). It has to be wait and see, although the skepticism is fully understandable.
  12. Sorry to hear that :-(
  13. I’m assuming its cold down there so you ladies are all hugging your teddies hey???? Hehehe! Or is someone going to shut me up by uploading a month worth of mileage?

  15. Anyone have more detail on this? Is there perhaps and average length, gradient to be applied to the in betwen CAT'??
  16. Was that the John-Lee Augustyn over the cliff into the ditch type crash?????
  17. Damn. I must admit this is the very last thing I expected to witness after yesterday. It’s like in the good old days. The riders k*k themselves in a stage, up the blood count overnight and come out feeling and looking like “brand new dollar notes” the morning after. Riding like men possessed.
  18. She’s been very quiet lately. Or is that I might have her on “unsubscribe/ignore mode” on FB?
  19. Could the explanation be simple??? 12 Years is a long time ago when Lance did his time up the climb. I'm willing to bet he would have been on a heavier Trek than Chris' current kit. (I have an Ullrich Dura-Ace groupo from 2008) and the weight is quite substantial compared to today's kit. So you have to work on the watts/kg of the rider+bike. If LA's bike was say 8.0kgs compared to Chris' 6.5kgs (or whatever current UCI minimum is) it is possible that the lighter kit can compensate for the dope in LA. It means LA will have been forced to dope if the 2 were to be on equal power/weight ratio's (inclusive of bike). Bear in mind the Sky strategy of "marginal gains". There is so many variables we will never know. But I'm sure someone clever can make sense of the numbers.
  20. Yeah I know what you mean and 2000kms is a long way but I’m thinking it might just turn into a procession alaa 12 months ago. Based on what we’ve seen there is no way anyone is going to match Chris’ firepower so the contest is over. Ironically, like last year, the strongest challenge might come from within his own team. I hate to say it but it’s a race for second and it’s just not as exciting cheering on a bunch of bridesmaids racing for the wooden spoon right? Plus Chris is now in yellow. If he has a mechie/puncture they won't attack him. They won't take time out of him on the climbs or TT's so I can't see them taking any time. They could maybe try jumping on a train and catch a lift like in the old days but that's about it.
  21. That is actually not bad considering his had a year out of racing and his aged in between and already over 30. But at that level of the sport you cant be climbing at the same performance as 3 years ago and expect to be competitive. The rest has just been improving too much.
  22. This is what I don't get. In 2010 Berto and Schleckie went toe-to-toe up the Tourmalet. They've both been "out" for a while and there's light years difference between them all of a sudden. Schleckie had a broken arse and now his no longer the same rider while Thomas is still in this race with the same injury. Berto, well, he doesnt look the shadow of the rider from that Tourmalet episode. I'm sure someone will do the numbers, but what must the difference be between them and Froome' wattage to make sense of today I wonder.
  23. My sister' 6 year old was very hyper active and couldn't focus for 5 minutes. It got so bad that he felt inferior to his twin sister when he got his school work wrong so the doc prescribed something to settle him down and aid his concentration. His seen a marked improvement in his academic progress. His teacher than complained that it gave him "an unfair advantage". hehehehe. I can find out what he took if you want??
