  1. 60% of my sessions is on IDT and I would keep it that way even if the weather wasn't a factor. Get a coach with some IDT experience to work out your sessions and you won't have a boring minute on it.

Some seem to think its actually better to arive the day before instead of 3-4 days. For some reason (which I dont know what) the body actually copes better. Can't find the article where I've seen this but that was the just of it.
  3. Yeah I thought about that but CRC doesnt have the 39t seperately at the moment. They do a 34 and a 50
  4. 28 at the back comes standard these days
  5. I was looking at the 172.5 http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=28436
  6. Yeah the strength and fitness (or lack there-of) is exactly why I’m asking. I’m almost always on flat roads and usually ride at an average cadence of 90-100 so I think the 42t will actually give me a bit more choice and benefit. It’s only when I’m gonna be doing the Argus that I will really need the 39t and the granny gear. As far as riding style is concerned i generally padel at quite a high cadence. Why would you recommend the 12-26? I’m trying to lightened the workload not increase it??? The 42/28t gives a ratio of 40.5. I might have to go climb some hills on the 39/24 (ratio 43.9) I have on at the moment to get an idea of what it might feel like.
  7. Does that mean you go forward eg: 40 inches (1016 mm) in distance for a certain combination? When doing the comparison the 39/27t combination gives a variable of 39.0 while the 42/28t gives a figure of 40.5. Doesn't seem like a massive difference but I'm wondering how much harder it will be to push that on the 42t????
  8. It's the 39t thats more expensive. Thats just looking at the CRC website. I reckon the 39t is the standard configuration and the popular one.
  9. Anybody???
  10. Is campag any good? Seriously, cause I haven't had much "interaction" with it.
  11. Would love to know to!
  12. And then you still have to cross the equator to get there. But it's the choice you make. If you gonna do it, do it. Finish and klaar!
  13. How big is the step up from a 39t to a 42t? The cost difference is about R1000 cheaper for the 42t. Is it worth trying to save the money or am I going to feel the going to tough on the hills for a mid pack Argus finisher? Is it an idea to go up to a 28t on the cassette to compensate??
  14. Might I be the first then..... Does she have any sisters?
  15. Had the tv on while I was on the IDT so didn't really watch but after the game I heard Jean say: "We believe we are on the right track......" I thought, boy you're gonna get moered for that statement!

  18. at the out set of the ride if I'm not going under a power lines or something. I was going around 32km/h just setting off. Mallfunction with the Garmin?
  19. I think he will restore a lot of respect and admiration with these comments: http://www.supersport.com/paralympics/south-africa/news/120906/Pistorius_contrite_in_victory "It's easy to be gracious when you win, but to be humble when you lose is not as easy – and I've had to learn that," "The timing of my comment wasn't great, and I've had to deal with the backlash. Although I was the first person to bring up the topic, and I got lashed very hard for it, there have been so many athletes who have spoken up over the last two days. It shows it is a huge problem, but it was distasteful of me and I realise that now. I'm sorry for it, but I do make mistakes." "It wasn't easy coming out here today..., but I learned, and that's the beauty of life. I've apologised to Alan and tonight was an amazing opportunity for me to come out and get over that. The reaction from the crowd was unbelievable and it really is special and extremely humbling knowing how much support I have. The people here are so passionate and sometimes you make mistakes and they understand that, and it was really lovely to be back out here tonight and feel that vibe again."
  20. In the market for a coach at the moment. Please add details of coaches you have used, would recommend or just know of along with some contact details, location and some sort of speciality. I for example do most of my training on the IDT so would like to work with someone with experience in that area. Any other relevant details welcome, like how they start you off: What sort of tests they require you to do. Ballpark costs might be good provided we keep in mind you'd have to get in touch with them for exact details on your specific requirements..
  21. Oh and I will contact you to get a comparitive price as I happen to be in the market. But this is not for the Epic, so assume you do other packaged deals?
  22. I reckon all his problems started when he packed on all that weight a few seasons ago. It's unnatural and his bone structure wasn't happy with him.
