  1. I was at CWC today, quite a large purchase. They gave me a 10% discount, offered to fit tubulars for free, and courier the parcel to my house free of charge. Great Service from CWC
  2. haha, don't think they did that one. But this year results were up within a day, so no problems there.
  3. The ride to Wilderness isn't that tough, the hills are quite mediocre. Hoekwil is a bit harder though.
  4. They do a lot of the non PPA mtb events. Vigne-a-Vigne and Oude Molen for example. Think wines2whales as well. I haven't had any problems with them, although I've only done a few events where they have timed.
  5. I shop online because I have fear of the outside world and online shopping lets me remain in the comfort of my own home. I only go online if the lbs doesn't have what I'm looking for, but I prefer the lbs by far, especially if you need to try things on.
  6. I think he was trying to eclipse Spartacus' win two years ago, had to go from further out you know.
  7. X-king 2.2 on the rear, or anything 2.2 on the rear, otherwise your bike will look and feel like a tractor.
  8. Yup, 1st thing in the morning is best by far, even after 10 mins it won't be very accurate.
  9. I think 105 is too high for a resting heart rate. My resting heart rate is 54. Here's a link to a chart. http://www.topendsports.com/testing/heart-rate-resting-chart.htm
  10. Well I was there, and I saw 2 teams riding over together high-fiving, and then 2 others racing each other. Keep in mind that 2 of them lost partners as well.
  11. yes please!
  12. If you need a new crank then I'd suggest (if financials allow) to get an SRM with the hollowgram crank option. But if it doesn't, then Sram Red is the way to go...
  13. give it to songo.info, or some other worthwhile charity.
  14. That rotor is insaaaaaane!
  15. All I know is that when I got back from school to enter it was sold out, and then I saw lots of people complaining about the entry fee. What distance you running?
  16. yes, yes it is. It's been called the "new golf" for a while now.
  17. Perhaps you clicked on 2011 results, on the 2012 one they there in 2nd place...
  18. Yup, minimum age requirements for anything above 35km is U16 (15) I did the 50km Knysna mtb in 2010, then last year they wouldn't let me enter. I sent lots of e-mails but they just said no. nothing you can do.

I really enjoyed it! The singletrack was amazing, the climbs were hard, rocky and long. Crashed on 15km, went into cardiac arrest according to my Garmin, then had some gear issues, and lost my mix on 1hr. But had fun! 1st long mtb event down!
  23. dude, go carbon! 4.5 in my opinion. If it feels better, go for it! and get some deep sections for the triathlons at a later stage!
