  1. At the nationals of XCO this year as soon as people crossed the line they were being escorted to give samples. Guess they don't do many tests in the league because it isn't high enough priority. But at least they're starting now.
  2. Did they have dope control?? Only for Elites though? and maybe some of the other cats?
  3. Okay, So if you have 2 sets of wheels, one full carbon and one with an alu surface then you need 2 pairs of brake pads. If you use the carbon ones on the alu surface, small metal flakes will get embedded into the pads and then when you use them on your full carbon wheels they'll eat into the braking surface and wreak havoc. Its a pain to change whenever you change the wheels but it must be done.
  4. they've become much lazier this season, last year and in summer results were up by 5pm. Now they only load them late at night or the following day or sometimes even on monday. But, that said, I don't know what their job entails and how hard it is.
  5. I think that the top 3/4 groups have really nice bikes, the next few have quite nice, and then the next few, the middle section have the best bikes. These are the people who are a bit older and have the money to splash out on top end bikes. But i could be wrong.
  6. +1, they don't usually take this long
  7. Really enjoyed todays ride Did the 94km last year and suffered quite a bit, 48km for the league was nice, and the race was well organized.
  8. The new one is boring, imo. The word i'm looking for is bland.
  9. Now that's just a tincy bit on the sadistic side don't you think?
  10. I had a red bull energy shot before a 1k rowing time trial on the ergometer... Nearly vomited after 300m, was horrible. For riding I usually, if its a short ride just ride with water, races I take one bottle octane or whatever is in the house. Long races water and some other thing and some gu's and a powerbar.
  11. Its better to warm up and then at the last minute jump in, even if its at the back, you'll get to the front easily enough...
  12. I've thought about it but I have sport every afternoon and i need a togbag for that + my school bag and there isn't space to put it anywhere.
  13. Haha, to get back at 7:30 and still shower and get changed and then from town to Newlands before 8 might be too much. But it's good to know you guys are going out and maybe I'll be able to make it somedays.
  14. Just go on the road, trainers are a bit artificial for me unless its a TT of sorts.
  15. Haha, no, not scrutinize, but at the 1st glance while it does seem ridiculous it does look maybe possible. My screens are 21.7 and 13 inches I can see fine thanks
  16. Will post my dads new Cannondale flash carbon when I find my phone.
  17. I hope you're joking, This is def a photoshop attempt, the tyres resolution is worse than the rest of the photo because they've been enlarged and then put there. It does, however look good until one starts to scrutinize.
  18. Scene at the end with all the elephants jamming is cool
  19. Not to hijack anyones coffee-selling aspiration, but have any of the CT guys been to "Brew" in longstreet? Just want to know your opinions if you have... In long street

    LOOK 695

that bike looks overly agressive. People will be on your wheel before the race starts! Looks shweeet though!
  21. I think it's pretty cool! actually its amazing IMO. Geecee, maybe their music is a little bit better than your garage bands don't you think?

    Child seat

You cant actually be thinking about putting your child in the front? If by some freak chance you crash, she'll go down 1st (if its over the hbars) All the seats i've sean involve children sitting behind the seat above the rear wheel.
  23. Well IMO it makes you go faster (depending on the ratio) I haven't had issues with the wrong gearing, it just takes quick thinking and fingers, thats why i'm keen for the gripshifts (sram 10speed) that way you can shift more gears in a faster manner.
  24. Honestly now, what do you use that you get in a goody bag?
  25. Dude, the sponsor pulled out late and they couldn't organize another one. I'm sure you'd be fine without the goody bag and to be honest, you can't blame them that you didn't check to see if there was an expo. I think the only valid point you have is the extra nights accom. fees but that could have been avoided if you had checked their dates.
