  1. How’s that Mezcal @MongooseMan ?
  2. What tyres are you all riding? also going the wider MTB if your frames allow it?
  3. 😂 ah okay, we spoke as we finished the last 2km together, you mentioned that you almost rode into me due to tiredness.
  4. Are you the big dude? , we might have crossed together . I’m the other big dude😂 I generally lift my front wheel when I approach some muddy bits or small puddles. I washed my kit immediately once i got home and it’s clean.
  5. We must have crossed the line at similar times , you probably ahead of me
  6. I came across someone who went down near the beginning of that section, he looked okay overall , just a bit bloody on the arm
  7. Yeah, it was a great day out for me as well. I did the 50 miler. I managed to trim some time off last year’s one, so happy . Definitely some lekker corrugated spots that sometimes caught me by surprise! Thankfully i didn’t have any handlebar slipping this time around. Reckon I’ll be back again next year if weather plays its part.
  8. No need to leave in wax, it’s actually a waste Definitely remove and hang
  9. I reckon R16000, at a push R17000 non neg might find someone who wants a dedicated set up which the Caad provides, the current winter special on the Kickrs impacts price
  10. A new Kickr Core can be gotten for R12000 at present, so pricing range will need to be pegged back a bit,
  11. just received this as an update to policy wording.
  12. Great double team work by Jumbo Visma, WvA delivered the finish for Koi on a platter, Koi showed great patience and focus to time his sprint to perfection .
  13. It's quite a quick process truth to be told, upload and they confirm quite quickly that it's received and updated - the change in value is another story though, so if you're adding carbon wheels to replace your entry level alloy set for instance, I would think that this would require an updated evaluation
  14. I am with them and you are required to share pics of bicycles and parts etc. via the app, with a selfie with bike etc, along with any invoices you have - which should make for a seamless claim process.
  15. with Naked there are pics of items, so I would think they would pick up that the wheels are different?
  16. I use the Silca Super Secret on my IDT bike and it works a treat, while I go with the immersive route on the other bikes just a note, you will often have some noise but as long as the wax has penetrated the chain - should not be an issue - the mechanical noise is a bit disconcerting though
  17. To save the insurance companies money and to ensure that repair companies make some money , on both fronts the insured party or customer is short changed . How can an assessor over ride the brand owner ? all due respect to the repairer but that’s not their call to make .
  18. and therein is the problem, your R50000 frame us suddenly worth a fraction of the cost.
  19. will add Nick Wheelbuilder as well - he is in George though.
  20. Every item / component on my bicycles is specified with a clear pic of each - in come cases with serial numbers for this exact reason.
  21. This is disgusting and in broad daylight without a care in the world 😡😡
  22. Thanks for this!
  23. Wow, that must lift a great burden off Wout’s shoulders
  24. It’s well documented that while being pricier, the XX1 and XO1 drivetrain parts offer far more longevity than the components on lower end, so the money 💴 is well spent in the long run, assuming you look after your drivetrain as well which also has an impact.
  25. I recall being extremely irritated with the individual / assessor who was assigned to my claim - it was almost as if they were looking for a loophole - for instance I sent him an older pic of me on bike to prove that was the bike - despite this already been shared on app etc. My bike was actually recovered - he then went missing without the courtesy of responding to any further correspondence from me. At the end of the day - bike was repaired with parts replaced - I also recall them trying to get out of replacing my shifters stating wear and tear - despite there being video proof of the bicycle being flung over a wall!
