  1. Always nice along the Atlantic seaboard
  2. Thanks, your thoughts align with mine, I reckon there won't be much benefit from an FTP read perspective as tests are pretty accurate and easily repeated. Getting fitter often results in misalignment of HR zones vs power (at least in my experience) as one's efficiency improves.
  3. For those that train with a PM as well and therefore primarily use their power zones , where does the VO2 number and LT threshold become relevant in application?
  4. Thanks for this, I have reached out to them
  5. Yeah. I believe they are on hand to push you as opposed to usual FTP tests where it’s just you and the pain !
  6. I think I may have watched this - will have another look, thanks for sharing
  7. There is just so much data around actual LT1 and LT 2 etc. My detailed mind is constantly curious.
  8. I have a PM and am well versed in structured training, I have always had an itch around the formal testing I guess.
  9. I take it you meant but worth it if you're not into all the measuring devices, data analytics
  10. Hi all For those into the numbers and their own performance monitoring, well aware that many can’t be bothered, but those who are : I am keen to hear anyone’s thoughts that have done formal testing done at the Sports Science Institute or any other establishment What battery of tests did you complete ? What was the cost? Did the results differ from the zones you were already working with? Did you find it greatly beneficial How k@k is it ?🙈
  11. when do the seedings get updated though?
  12. Touch wood, but I have not had a single issue with them.
  13. I’ve had the Csixx inserts for ages , don’t recall them absorbing that much sealant don’t think they make them any longer though
  14. Yip, plan A clearly went out the window when he crashed , perhaps he would have been “fresher” had it not been for the required effort to get back? Might have made for a different finish from his side , but all is well that ends well I guess, will go down as one of the great monument finishes.
  15. And what a humble / nice guy Matt is as well, not at all aloof and strikes me as quite accessible as well.
  16. What a champion what a brilliant finish
  17. The second part …. Can never understand this, why do people do this ? They just hold up those starting earlier - utterly ridiculous!
  18. They have their work cut out for them for sure ! But yeah, a mechanical will balance the scales
  19. Matt and Tristan aren’t going to need a plan over the next few days, that gap looks problematic
  20. Cheaper to buy it locally and you will have it in 2 days
  21. Exactly , first right of refusal to whom you seemingly had an agreement with . a courtesy message informing the individual that you had a firm offer and would accept if no payment was made would have gone a long way.
  22. indeed, shows poor form on the seller's part in my books as well.
  23. Yeah, I was considering this, but I do my FTP tests on Training Peaks Virtual (otherwise I ride mostly in ERG mode) - so this is a limitation for me.
  24. I concur with previous sentiments - I will gladly miss the expo as it no longer offers novelty or commercial benefit on products any different from what one can get online or in a physical store. The "0" tours guys in high groups another story in itself.
