    get yourself an instant read thermometer - sorts out temp concerns. Great for cooking purposes as well.

    This morning while descending from Smitswinkel, we encountered an idiot who having seen us approaching at speed, decided it was appropriate to make U turn right across us our path, forcing us to come to a complete stop to avoid colliding with him. The imbecile thought nothing of his actions and I wonder if he would have done the same thing had it been a car.

    And yet you still see “law enforcement “ out there handing out “petty fines” how about some visibility and patrols and roadblocks and on the spot breathalysers . Not rocket science to figure out where the hit spots are.

    Reckon it’s a factor of people having poor flexibility and a weak core ,and perhaps the silly trend of slammed stems but the drops are actually quite comfortable but it takes practice to get your body accustomed to the position

    Exactly - I find it startling that despite the size of the problem - the evidence is clearly there that not enough is actually done to address it. one would expect the roads to be teaming with traffic officials.

    Indeed , and every festive season there’s shock around the road death toll. There should be random breathalyser tests or something, roadblocks which are few and far between these days are clearly ineffective.
