I’ve just read of another cyclist who has sadly passed away This makes me so angry !

But what is the alternative? How else does one get back after having coming through Camps Bay or how does get to Camps Bay etc. It looks like Dennis was already taking an alternative route? I recently went through town past the castle, how long until that too becomes unsafe.

There’s another ride planned for Sunday to foreshore, in memory of Dennis, I believe there will be officials in attendance “again” for what it’s worth.

I have been looking at nutrition / fueling efforts in a bit more detail lately. It helps having a power meter along with history of similar efforts to get a view of the Kj / work involved which in turn guides on calories. All products have nutritional analysis (calories and carbs) so you can kind of work out what you are burning vs what you need to replenish.

I installed the app and it works . It picks up both the front (bontrager ion)and the varia and there is capability to adjust / switch both on or off. also shows battery life

and I am sure that bike has given you many happy miles and plenty of smiles, and you have not had the itch to swop it out since! But wait! those are rim brakes - you need to upgrade!! if not for anything else - for the vastly superior stopping power that awaits
