  1. get both. I'll buy the cheaper one off you at your 'excellent' price Seriously though, if you go X1 you'll always be wanting/thinking about upgrading the various parts. So go Advanced and get your mind set right that you won't upgrade (much) going forward. If you are a 'normal' Hubber, you'll have spent the R12k difference on upgrades before the years end
  2. you still have a set available?

    A Sub 3 Argus?

Anybody on here (or know of) broken the sub 3 barrier for the first time when being 40 years of age plus? I'm sure there are a bunch of guys that continue to break sub 3 after they turn 40. I'm just wondering if it is possible to do it for the first time after you are 40. (I'm sure it's possible but would like to hear the story behind it if anyone one hear has done it).
  5. No, don't think it is needed then. This bridges the gap between old 'unsmart' tv's and the latest stuff. If all your kit is new Samsung stuff (for example), you should be able to do it out of the box using 'Allshare Cast'. Other vendors have their propriotory apps to do similar stuff. Even if all your stuff isn't the same brand, if they all support DNLA you most likely can do most of this - but may need a little tweaking here and there.
  6. At R25k+ for a tall boy frame vs R8k for a CC, there is no great loss if you can't sell the CC frame when/if you are done with it. It's all about how much money you got in your pocket to spend in the first place. I'm sure a lot of people would love a SC - but few can afford/justify it.
  7. If I understand your post, your phone has to be connected via the cable to the TV? DNLA straming can be done via wifi. Think Chromecast is also 'cableless'.
  8. Cool toy! On my wishlist. As an alternative, build up a XBMC Media PC. Supports DNLA streaming from Andriod out the box.. Really is a cool party trick to 'flip' the video on you phone to the TV (or music, or photos etc).
  9. Samsung S3 - Majick Forest area.
  10. Samsung S3 - from the Silvermine area looking down...
  11. 600 bucks a month. Join cadence for that. Short term committment and you can see actual figures as to whether you are improving or not. Just a thought...
  12. I think day 2 and 3 are from the same camp. But will leave confirmation to someone that has ridden it... Edit: What Beanz said :-)
  13. Spreadsheet updated with the following events: Swazi Frontier, Ride the Rock, Imana Wild Ride and Cape Outback. Some of the events lack a bit of detail on the websites - so use the list as a guide - not fact
  14. On my list to do as well. Come to think of it, I also have a birthday next yeat
  15. lol - nothing but good service from these guys for me...

  17. Not sure if the website has been recently changed, but the 2013 constitution is available... http://www.tygerbergmtb.co.za/about-us/constitution.html
  18. For those Gents and Gals that are giving this one a skip due to congestion etc, take note of the changes below. This should help a fair bit, but probably won't fix it totally. The fact that the long and short riders don't meet up until the last 200 meters is GREAT news! The following steps have been taken: • 10 minute gaps between start groups (instead of 5min) to give riders a chance to spread out before they hit the singletrack. . There are also 5 groups in the 42km (not 4) with less riders per group. • Helshoogte Neutral Zone Riders will ‘tag-out’ before the Helshoogte Singletrack and ‘tag-in’ again after crossing Helshoogte Pass, and the 'neutral zone' times will be taken in consideration of final results. Please note that results on the day are provisional and that the winners are still determined by the rider who is ‘first over the line’ in each respective group. • Long distance riders will only meet the shorter distance riders about 200m before the finish, not in the river singletrack as in previous years All riders must keep in mind that it is a mass participation event, that give all levels an opportunity to ride the beautiful trails on private farms around Stellenbosch. We appreciate your co-operation, patience & courtesy on the trails – may all have an enjoyable ride!

  20. Thanks for that - i thought I had used team prices for all events. I'll double check and amend as needed. Cheers
  21. Where the pic's???? Bring 'em on!
  22. At those prices, you're pretty much guaranteed a 'lucky draw' prize 'cause there are only going to be 20 entries Just hope the lucky draw items make it worth while
  23. From the website it appears the entry fee has been reduced to R250. Still too steep for my pocket.
  24. added. Seems like a well priced option. You done it? Feedback?
