  1. Not so good prices on some items though
  2. What this what that warrawarra? Jinx binx I got a red bike warrablahblahbloob. What if blahblahbloob is a noob? Go be a roadkill whoooooop banmebanmeshwoooooop?
  3. We talking xc here not downhill, and I dont need super grip, and what 360life got has nothing do to with wear and all about punctures - it happens to all tyres.
  4. Wait till some dirt gets on it.
  5. But the Ikon has got great grip and lasts super long, thats why I like it, so go have an egg
  6. Whatever you dont get a road bike!
  7. The 2011 came out with non-ust Crossmarks which does not work well tubeless, then again the Ralphs on the 2012 are tubeless ready but they are not the Snakeskins. So maybe the 2011 is the better option if you want a proper tubeless setup with proper tires. The Ralphs will work but the danger of a sidewall cut is high. The other difference is the 2011 has the RP23 shock and the 2012 got the RP2, the only diff is the RP23 got 3 propedal settings. I have the 2011 and I use propedal settings 1 and 3 all the time. What I`m saying is I think you made the right choice.
  8. Get a R30-40k mtb and go do a few Alps mtb tours in our winter.
  9. You gonna struggle to get hold of Ikons 26". The Racing Ralph snakeskin is also a good tyre for the front, it will last a bit longer.
  10. They dont like them tar
  11. No get the Ikon Exo. Schwables wear out too quickly.
  12. But with so many happy Maestro users it must be very good
  13. Don`t think you need full ust though, maybe tubeless ready will do? But yes I would not use those Crossmarks tubeless, and the ust ones weigh a ton, get a pair of Ikons Exo.
  14. I prefer the Ikon its a bit lighter and just feels better leaning into corners, but the big advantage of the Ikon is the price when you take into account that I go through 3 Ralphs for every 1 Ikon. And btw I saw truckloads of Ralph punctures in the Epic.
  15. Just wanted to say that this must be the best buy at this price, Storm1 around 23k and Storm2 around 21k.
  16. Just go buy yourself a 29er and get it over with.
  17. Got stuck in a queue in my car entering the farm, got stuck in a queue to get my number, got stuck in a queue at the start, got stuck in queues for the 1st 10km, got stuck in queues in all the st, still had great fun, next time I`ll be camping on the start line.
  18. But this is mountain biking, and mountains require climbing. I enjoyed the climbing and the route was much more fun than the ArgusMTB. The large amounts of singletrack did mean I lost a lot of time stuck behind snails, I would prefer a bigger climb at the start and some less singletrack, but it was still a great route. And believe me there is a lot more climbing that they could have added on that farm.
  19. BasinMTB.com club rides here every Saturday and Sunday, and also Thursday night rides. You can pitch up for R40 per ride but you have to stay with at least 2 other riders, one of which should know the farm, or just stay with the group.
  20. It is called the Brain shock and that canister is the brain. The Brain makes the shock harder and softer without any human intervention. It is for mtbikers who are so quick that they do not have time to think, or mtbikers who are slower but do not possess a human brain. Also, a simple service can only be done by a brain surgeon.
  21. 11nish
  22. The one with the lightest wheels.
  23. Nah not too much rain today and with the sun out tomorrow and Sunday, its gonna be just the right amount of mud.
  24. Bring in some carbon 100mm dually frames! Tell the chinaman this is what the white mountainbicycleman need.
