Don`t think you need full ust though, maybe tubeless ready will do? But yes I would not use those Crossmarks tubeless, and the ust ones weigh a ton, get a pair of Ikons Exo.

I prefer the Ikon its a bit lighter and just feels better leaning into corners, but the big advantage of the Ikon is the price when you take into account that I go through 3 Ralphs for every 1 Ikon. And btw I saw truckloads of Ralph punctures in the Epic.

Just wanted to say that this must be the best buy at this price, Storm1 around 23k and Storm2 around 21k.

Got stuck in a queue in my car entering the farm, got stuck in a queue to get my number, got stuck in a queue at the start, got stuck in queues for the 1st 10km, got stuck in queues in all the st, still had great fun, next time I`ll be camping on the start line.

But this is mountain biking, and mountains require climbing. I enjoyed the climbing and the route was much more fun than the ArgusMTB. The large amounts of singletrack did mean I lost a lot of time stuck behind snails, I would prefer a bigger climb at the start and some less singletrack, but it was still a great route. And believe me there is a lot more climbing that they could have added on that farm.

BasinMTB.com club rides here every Saturday and Sunday, and also Thursday night rides. You can pitch up for R40 per ride but you have to stay with at least 2 other riders, one of which should know the farm, or just stay with the group.

It is called the Brain shock and that canister is the brain. The Brain makes the shock harder and softer without any human intervention. Lots of complaints about the flex in the Reba 29er, so if Reba, maybe a thru-axle will help resolve this issue, but you cant go wrong with the Fox with thru-axle.

You can get 2kg Enduren on buycycle.co.za for about R320 I think, which works out more or less the same price as Game and Energade, but works better. Water does not give energy and for mtb climbing you need plenty energy, I see people on only water drink a lot more than me on Enduren. I also have a small bag of Energade jellies (available from Game (the store)) in my back pocket.

But if you had a good 29er dually, it would be the only bike you need.

Where is your 29er dually? BTW its nonsense that you need a hardtail to ride hard, riding hard is about how hard you pedal, but yes a hardtail rides hard on your arse so just get a 29er dually 120mm if you want super smooth/ trail or 100mm if you wanna go fast and smooth.
