  1. Lust on 29" is too heavy Exo is much lighter.
  2. "Niner Jet 9. Very nice frame for R18500". Very much overpriced, the Giant Anthem frame goes for just under R10k, and I will probably go for the Giant even if the prices were the same.
  3. I think that homo chicks that cycle are super hot, but men homos...well...I think that is gay.
  4. Daar was omlangs `n aanval in die Eden/Coetzenburg omgewing maar ek ry dit al vir 21 jaar met geen probleme. Ek sal egter voorstel dat `n vroulike persoon nooit alleen ry nie.
  5. Get a 29er dually.
  6. The Scott Expert Spark 29er goes for like R31000, complete bike, or you can even look at the Pro which still be about R40k Nothing can beat this imo atm. http://products.scott-sports.com/221698/500/221698.jpg
  7. Mine are squeeling like a beheaded pig under hard breaking. This is a known issue and Avid has posted a solution to this on their site, which involves them sending you a solid rotor. http://www.bikerumor.com/2010/02/15/sram-issues-technical-bulletin-regarding-elixir-disc-brake-issues/
  8. Spez and Niner = overpriced, go for carbon Scott.
  9. Saterdag oggend 7am Lourensford. Sondag middag gaan ons seker iets in Grabouw ry of Schapenberg as dit nie te veel reen nie.
  10. 26" Makes a better playbike, but 29" will suit your size much better. If doing wheelies and spinning around on your back wheel is most important, stick to 26".
  11. It is the 4 passes. Stellenbosch->Sir Lowrys Pass->left at Grabouw->Viljoens Pass->Franschoek Pass->Hellhoogte. +-120km.
  12. A Niner is like x2.5 times more R yet they are comparable?
  13. If my funds were limited I would go for the Giant and rather upgrade the wheels to Stans Crest. If I had some R to pley with I would look at Momsen cause they come out with Stans Crest wheels.
  14. At that price a Silverback might be good choice for a new bike, but try to get a Giant Trance2 secondhand, I actually know someone that might sell his for 10k cause he is going 29er and does more xc than trail.
  15. Where can I buy a 31er? Me wants iit
  16. I would go for a 29er dually, I have one and I`m always waiting for everyone up and downhill, km after km, through rivers and dongas, up and down the mountains always waitng for those 26ers hardtails and duallies, but damn in that one 30m section of singletrack the the 26er dually is a little bit faster.
  17. I also like to ride with my front locked out and my rear shock open, I find this setup work best for when I go downhill backwards....at speed.
  18. But my bike goes to number 3
  19. I ride the Anthem 29er and I am very impressed with the Maestro suspension. It seems to be bottomless, I have never managed to bottom out, even with very low air pressure. Another thing I prefer on the Giant is that the front and rear shock is set independently, and I like to ride with the front open and rear propedal on - I think with the Scott both front and rear is always the same. But then again the Scott has remote lockout shock adjustment on the handlebar which is nice. I don`t like Gary Fisher 29er because of the weird geometry and I think the Giant and Scott is faster. I would guess the Maestro suspension with the Fox RP23 shock on the Giant will be unbeatable, but damn I like the look of that Scott a lot.
  20. Bling is for gangstas I`ll take the Scott.
  21. Maybe you should call them?
  22. For versatility you cant beat the Giant Anthem 29er . It does have a low bb though.
  23. Trail riding het groter klippe en sand korrels as xc.
  24. Get a cheapo 29er hardtail.
  25. I think I`d rather do the same 35km route on the Sunday after for a wopping R20. The longer routes will be fun I think but I`m still recovering from cracked ribs.
