Constantia Nek is a nightmare once traffic picks up, particularly from Hout Bay side. Headed out north (Durbanville) for the first time in a long time, and where that was normally quite chilled with understanding drivers, I can't say that that was the case this morning. ☹

Doors are flung open.! It happens so quickly, most times you won't have any time to react never mind consider what your best option is. Having experienced the consequences of being sideswiped I almost want to say turn in toward the car/door but staying as wide from those parked cars as you currently do is probably the best you can do.

These "behind the scenes" shows (Unchained, Chasing the Sun, Drive to Survive etc) are really growing in popularity ... great insights and in some cases even more entertaining than the actual event.

I've had that velcro strap securing the bag to the seatpost rip up some shorts too.! A smaller bag with a saddle bracket perhaps if the suggestions of pockets only and/or spares bottle doesn't work for you.
