I've had that velcro strap securing the bag to the seatpost rip up some shorts too.! A smaller bag with a saddle bracket perhaps if the suggestions of pockets only and/or spares bottle doesn't work for you.

Kevin who used to be at BMC had an almost pedantic attention to detail when working on wheels. Hopefully who ever is doing wheels now does similar. To confirm, have CE Cycles built/sorted out wheels for you.? I'm needing someone to look at my wheels, and while William's Bike Shop is the other often recommended, getting to Somerset West may be a bit of a challenge.

Experienced same with a particular saddle/post/clamp where the edges of the clamp protruded beyond the edge of the saddle. Also had a case of a velcro strap of a saddle bag constantly rubbing the shorts until it had a hole.

Saddle.? That's new ... isn't it normally about the detergent that you use.? 🤷‍♂️

Not too sure if they have a similar arrangement with Omnico. While Omico have picked up the distribution, spares may be a problem particularly for older models.
