  1. That was my experience recently. Seal would blow every couple of minutes but only lost 10-20 psi over 2.5 hrs. Downtube was a mess and covered in sealant, but I got home without needing to stop.
  2. One of these could be useful. Or make it your LBS's problem. LOL
  3. WEDU team had a fair bit to say about this and especially G's choice to swap helmets too.! Ultimately I don't think it mattered ... the steep slopes sorted things out.
  4. I had a gearing issue once ... turned out to be the cassette spacer on that specific wheelset.
  5. My Direto developed a rumbling noise last week so I decided to reach out to CECycles. Dropped it off on Thursday and got it back the next day ... troublesome bearings replaced and general service done. Can confirm that they were handling maintenance and repairs on behalf of the former agent and are already in discussions with prospective new agent. Spares are currently low but well worth giving them a shout if your Elite IDT is giving issues.
  6. Now that's an offer one cannot refuse. I also like the idea of doing things myself but as OP also alluded to, it can be dangerous. LOL (without a knowledgeable person alongside) The other issue sometimes experienced is not having the appropriate tools. Enjoy experience Ncayi. Props to RobertWhitehead.!!
  7. Explore both options and see what works best for you. Selling to a reseller is convenient but comes at a cost. Sometimes the cost is worth it though, saving you time and effort.!
  8. Seller expectation and buyer suggestions both seem optimistic. LOL There's probably a suitable compromise midway between R3-11k.
  9. Conti used to be my go to because often it was the only tube available with RVC. I've heard of light weight tubes losing air but for the rest they are generally all the same.
  10. We probably rode together, maybe even chatted and we don't know it.! LOL
  11. A short, but important ride to Maidens Cove ...
  12. Or the best kept secret.!
  13. Twice in the same week ...
  14. Distributor last indicated that they made use of a store in Tokai for maintenance and repairs: https://cecycles.co.za/
  15. Check with Amy and Candice for best way to duct tape that wheel before next ride ...
  16. Last ride was 2 weeks or so before CTCT so took quite a bit of effort, but the view makes it all worthwhile.
  17. Suspect it was just the sizing that's being referred to. The Rapide is intended for 35mm bars not the more common 31.8mm. Possibly corrected with a shim.

  19. I miss Howzit Sports for this sort of work. As CrisF says, try Rapid. Other names that come to mind: Vye; Ciovita; Anatomic; Panda. Some may of course say that 8 years is a fantastic innings and time to let them go ...
  20. I do think he knew better than to race in it.! (most times LOL)
  21. Are the sponsors also feeling the pinch.? 🤔
  22. 1.65 would suggest that you should be on a XS/S, certainly not a L. Shooting from the hip: S has a TT of 53cm + 9cm = 62cm. L has a TT of 58cm ... so 4cm stem for equivalent. This ignores other frame differences impacting fit.
  23. Another box ticked.! 👌
  24. OBS appears to be an extension of the Kenilworth Olympic Cycles outlet ... if so, then surely legit but unsure as to the levels of online service. Perhaps reach out for a response before placing any orders.
