    Sani2C 2014

Entry fee still to be confirmed though. I think we are looking at between R11,000 and R12,000 per team?
  2. Less movement on the front derailer which will mean smoother shifting. I never use the granny, and very rarely the big ring. Most of the time I am in middle and going through the 11-36 casette. Think 1x11 will be awesome for my riding style but thats a bit outside the budget at this moment in time.
  3. So I have been contemplating converting my bike to a 2x10 26/39 setup. The question I have what is the easiest and cheapest way to get it done. I currently have a 22/33/44 SRAM S1000 crankset. Can I simply remove the big ring, add the two rings I want, and fit a 2x10 front derailler and a 2 speed front shifter or do I need to replace the entire crankset as well?

  6. I just had these delivered to my office after my Quartz set started acting funny http://reviews.mtbr.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/PC220004.jpg

If that is the case I can see a lot more entries becoming available next year...
  8. I have the Latissima and I love it. My wife uses the milk thing a lot to make cappuccinos and I use it for hot milk in my coffee. It cleans very easily as well!!!
  9. I trained as if I had an entry and actually got 2 entries quite easily. Just keep en eye on the classifieds here on The Hub as well as on Sani2C's facebook feed. A lot of entries become available leading up to the event when people realise they forgot to train, or got an injury or whatever.
  10. so so if I go GXP I should be fine. Just need to stay away from the BB30's?
  11. Thanks Brian!!! I have been looking at the specials currently on CRC, and was wondering if this will fit? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=78803
  12. So was it such a stupid question or does nobody know the answer?
  13. I did Three Towers last year and Sani2C so far this year. Definitely back for Three Towers in October. What an awesome event!!! Which I could do Berg and Bush as well this year bit with it falling in the same month as Three Towers I might just get killed by my wife
  14. So I want to upgrade the crankset on my Trek Superfly but I am a bit lost with all the specifications out there. Currently I have the standard SRAM S1000 which came with the bike, but the problem is that it has a BB92. All the cranksets I have been looking at are either specified as BB30 or GXP. What should I look at when buying a new crank in order to insure it will fit my bike?
  15. Im looking at 2015 for my first one... Budget wont allow it next year
  16. Probably the toughest event of my year so far. The terrain was just so unforgiving from start to finish!!! My heart rate went mad after about 30km and from there on it was a struggle to get home. Luckily I made it one piece.
  17. I got a quote on a Bosal for R3700. dont think that is to bad?
  18. So my wife was in an accident on her way to pick me up at the finish line of Sani2C. She's okay, no serious injuries or fractures, but unfortunately my 2007 Honda Accord Type S didnt make it. Total write off. I picked this up on Thursday
  19. The guys who won the adventure was on Rigids. dont think it was single speeds though
  20. Every race I have participated in they have told me that if I want to move down to a later batch I can do so, but I must remember that I will lose that time automatically. Common sense in my opinion. Why do they need to go through the hassle of seeding everyone if you are just going to pitch up whenever you want and start in a different batch...
