  1. Saw on another thread that Erik and Arianne is not married anymore so that would explain quite a lot...
  2. TEAM RECM announced quite a while back that they will not be continuing with the sponsorship past 2015. From what I can gather on Erik's website he is riding for Topeak Ergon next year...
  3. I am actually looking for qualifying events from Jan'15 to Oct'15. I have done quite a few races which I would like to check if I should have received anything.
  4. Where can I get a list of the events that qualified for cash back during the year?
  5. my new warranty epic marathon frame
  6. Makes 100% sense that they didn't warranty it... Nothing that sucks Moving on
  7. I think it is more a case of thanks SA Government. The exchange rate is killing us at the moment

  9. Store has just put a post on Facebook staying that they will only open on the 8th of April now
  10. I love the more proffesional look of the shops. It makes it a lot easier to get what I want. If I go to buy spares I specify what I am looking for instead of asking for advice. It also helps that I service my own bike so I can very quickly tell if the bike shop is trying to take me for a ride
  11. Today is a nice long stage. They are going to take back the majority of the time if not all of it by today... Those girls are pure class. Last year they also had to ride back a time loss of 40+ minutes after a mechanical and they won the race in the end with about 40 minutes
  12. Confirmed that it will be at the centurion lifestyle centre...
  13. Awesome News!!! Congrats guys
  14. Alex responded to some bashing after it was posted on facebook with the following: Guys. Understand something. A lot of people have dedicated more than a year of their lives to this idea. I have invested more than 20 years into my brand and it is based on growing honest and open relationships. This is what the Munga is about. I know we are letting some people down but we are making a decision from a place of integrity and respect. Especially to those who have been training their hearts out. We have made a commitment to every rider that they will be paid in full by the end of the week. This is a bump for us and thank you to all those riders who continue to show their faith in our idea.
  15. I also think it's a lack of entries that caused this. The idea is to far fetched to get a full field in my opinion...
  16. Spoilt myself a bit in preparation for Joburg2C training kicking off: 2014 Specialized Epic Marathon & Garmin Edge 810
  17. Overall we had a great weekend in Parys. I did the Ultra on Saturday. The changes to the route was very welcome and the ride was exactly what I expected. The waterpoints was stocked with what I needed(bananas and water) and there was ice available at every water table which was a life saver. I eventually finished the Ultra in 5h40. I did the Half marathon on Sunday and again it was exactly as expected. Flat and Fast. There was really only 1 water point on the half which was a bit disappointing. My legs started to talk back about half way through the race, and I got home in 1h55. The vibe in Parys is always great and I will definitely be back next year!!!
  18. What would have happened to their sponsored bikes? I see Max posted a photo on Facebook of Kevin still training on his TREK road bike
  19. As far as I know they have support from Fedgroup until the end of this year. No news on what they will do next year though...
  20. I got rid of my grip shift after the mud fest at Sabie this year. it was almost impossible to shift the gears in those conditions...
  21. Paint only has a 12 month warranty
  22. I have sent them the photo and the frame has been sent over to the US...
  23. So I had to send the frame to the states as the bike was bought there in 2012. Specialized declined my warranty claim stating that it is just the paint cracking. I am going to take the bike to a few more local bike shops for a second, third and fourth opinion and will take it from there. I was fairly sure that the frame would be replaced as it is a fairly obvious crack according to me...
  24. Entry for what? A nissan trailseeker fun ride???
