  1. My wife would give me a proper PK if I attempted that!!!
  2. No it should definitely not look like that. That does not even look like its been attempted to wash!!!
  3. Yip that is what I heard as well. Apparently they want to do a mini stage race where you will be able to do the Marathon on the Saturday and the Ultra on the Sunday...
  4. Why are you getting rid of yours?
  5. Can you follow the breadcrumb trail and still have access to your normal screens or will it show the trail the entire time?
  6. I had huge issues with the Heart Rate measurements. After replacing the battery, the HR belt, and the actual HR unit and still getting random results I decided to move on. The Bryton support guys were also not helpful at all as all response I got was that it must be your shirt flapping against it, or a flat battery. On the second stage of Three Towers last year I got an average heart reading of 225 or something...
  7. So what is the most cost effective option to get for the self navigation purposes needed to do Joberg2C and Sani2C next year. I have had a look at the different options but I am not sure which one to get. I would like it to do the navigation but still be able to see my normal screens with speed, distance, HR etc. I currently have a Garmin Forerunner 910XT multisport watch. As far as I know it can follow a breadcrumb trail but that will be the only screen you see. Ideally I want something with turn by turn navigation but I am not sure if it is really necessary. Currently I am looking at the following: - Garmin Edge 810 - Garmin Edge 800 - Garmin Edge 510(does not allow maps though) - MIO Cyclo 315 - MIO Cycle 505 I am not a fan of Bryton so that is why it is not on the list. I had the Ryder 40 before upgrading to my current Garmin.
  8. We are looking to exchange a ladies white 10 year t shirt medium to a large please. Situated in pretoria
  9. you can do it yourself if you know the right altitude at a specific location...
  10. Compared to the Shimano XT's I had on my TREK en the Formula R1's on my Spez the avids are horseshit!!! They don't have enough stopping power and they squeal like a pig being strangled!!! I have experience with Shimano, Avid and Formula and by comparing the 3 I can come to the conclusion that the Avids are the worst brakes money can buy...
  11. +1 The avids from sram is shite!!!
  12. Nothing wrong with SRAM. My previous bike came with X7/X9 mix and I was happy as can be. I never had any problems with the components. You would feel the biggest difference on the wheels, or even use your money for a tubeless conversion or something... I eventually upgraded to basically full X0 on my new bike with XX shifters. I am loving this combination!!!
  13. Was it exactly the same models or two different models? Not all models use the same method to calculate elevation. One of the two units may also need calibration...
  14. Offer someone on the hub a case of beer or a nice bottle of whisky... Anything to save R2k
  15. if you know anyone who is on Multiply(Momentums Vitality), that will be the cheapest you will find it at...
  16. I have tried various methods to get this stuff off my chain and casette and nothing has worked. I have a chain cleaning tool, a set of brushes, engine degreaser, Powasol spray degreaser you name it. The first time I sprayed my casette with Powasal and then went ahead with the chain cleaining device and engine degreaser for a good few minutes. I also kept the powasol on the cassette for quite a while before climbing in there with the brushes to try and get the gunk out. Guess what, it was still there after rinsing all the degreaser off. The second time I removed my chain and soaked it in degreaser for at least 2 hours, and agitating it every 10 minutes. The crap still didnt come off my chain. I have tried various methods on my casette but in the end the only way I could get the gunk out was with a stick... I found my favourite lube at Solomons the other day. Rock and Roll blue. Easy to apply, and easy to clean!!! I would buy it by the litre if I could.
  17. I hate this product. Very difficult to clean and it causes a paste in my cassette. And yes I did apply it as indicated on the back of the bottle
  18. Might be. Had a red craft shirt on... It was flippen sore when I finished
  19. They scan your board when you enter the batch but that is just to make sure you checked in at the start. So no you cant start in the middle of the race...
  20. Your time gets calculated from the batch you should have started in. They dont scan you when you start. So your start time would have been say 8h20 and your wife 8h28 and you finished at lets say 12h00. They then subract the two from each other to get your race time. I dont think they will change your time for you. You needed to put the 'rebatching' request through before the start of the race
  21. I really enjoyed the route on Saturday and the batching worked really well. I've been getting ITB pain in my right knee the last 2 weeks so the second half of the race was just managing the pain in the knee. I could not get any power down!!! Well done to everyone

  24. Thats what weve been getting at all the races this year? Did you pay your entry fee to ride your bike or to get free socks and a water bottle? #justsaying
