LittleBen once removed the rear caliper and cable tied it out the way when he had bent a rotor ..... just a thought use it, don't .....

I use to throw a strip away when the valve 'attachment area' started leaking (after some time that is!). Now I just tear it out and buy a Bontrager valve to replace it. No problem after that .......

Off to bed, I'll check the others tomorrow .......

Had a spin on it at the shop before I went on leave and surprise surprise it didn't feel like a 'circus bike' at all ...... I know, I know what I said before

Don't know but please remember the riser bar rule if you decide they are better ;-)

Tubeless is reliable but not infallible! I would still carry at least a tubeless repair kit, pump and tube .......

Bit close after SabieX but I'm trying to get a pink slip ......

the course is absolutely awesome at the moment we rode it this morning, only a bit of water near the finish! Those paths are packed so hard I doubt anything will grow there again before the end of the world comes!

Can only say that on my new frame I tried some Ritchey WCS ones we had at home and they did not fit (just ever so slightly too big in diameter) but the KCNC Bearbone ones did so it seems there are some kind of 'subtle' differences .......

Well spotted techguy! Yip it was just there where the cables go into the attachments on the frame near the front. What is the best 'lube' to put there? I just put a spot of chain wax, will that be OK?

Agteros, it relates to how bad that corner was before the 24hour course was designed! Those wooden bridges were not there and we turned a bit earlier through a really rutted, rooty section. After they had had enough of my whining about it it was changed and then promptly named such!

So not even a week after building my new spastic plastic FS bike it develops a creak/ squeek/ clicking noise that's drives me to distraction. Seems to be something to do with the headset or in that area, when I turn the bars left or right it sounds likes it's being tortured ....... So I know it isn't the headset as it is brand new and the adjustment has been checked ad nauseam! BUT HALLELUJAH last night I found the offender . Went round the 24 hour course this morning just to make sure and it is sorted! BTW - for the other 24 hour persons the course is absolutely awesome at the moment, only a bit of water near the finish! Those paths are packed so hard I doubt anything will grow there again before the end of the world comes!

The result of that 1st lap after the restart, some of us rode that first muddy section before they closed it ..... Lucky I took 2 bikes!
