  1. Thanks! Pretty much confirms what Lil Benb said. He rode them at Forest to Falls last year and fell a heavy shot on one of those muddy slippy downs ...... Said no control at all! Will be good for our normal long training rides round here in the deep south.
  2. Anyone ridden with these? Which conditions are they best in? I guess mud would not be good hehehehe ......... Had a set of almost new one's Lil Ben had rejected out of hand some time ago and put them on my latest project MTB just for fun...... tubeless off course! Spent a few hours at my LBS swapping tubeless tyres around (rotating for long life ...), ended up having to inflate 6 tubeless today. 4 fine with the compressor but had to do 2 with a bomb ..............
  3. His arm is 100% and he's back on the bike (bicycle and motorbike!). Unfortunately now I'm out of action for a bit but hey thats the way the boerewors bends I guess ........
  4. Slowbee - check it out here .... http://allanti.com/page.cfm?PageID=328
  5. I thought anything rides better than a Trek, OK I got my coat ........
  6. for one' date=' i never listen at race briefing, because you can never hear what they are saying...two..sometimes arrive too late. So just think if the organisers can print a number on the board it would be great![/quote'] well then its your own fault dont you think?????? Oi Turtle - I also done a lot of races, road and MTB, and there are many I have been to that don't give it out at the briefing or have it on the number board ........ I think it's a good suggestion that it should be standard
  7. Check it here https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=25980&get=last#429465
  8. You say no noise from BB...... doesnt BB snore??????? Depends if you're asking me or my wife Oom ...........
  9. And even more so cause it's a Specialized mate! Very nice!
  10. I been asleep this morning so no noise from BB .........
  11. OK so ignore all comments me and LittleBen made cause we thought you wanted to use MTB pedals on a roadbike ....... LittleBen still says that looks dumb ..... We're off to bed now! It's late ......
  12. LittleBen says you can use MTB shoes on a roadbike but it just looks dumb .......... You can make it easier on road or MTB pedals by setting the tension!
  13. Nothing in my opinion, other than most MTB pedals being double sided. You still rotate your foot outward to unclip.
  14. Cool, you've helped a lot already! Thanks mate. Will setup the brakes/shifters etc with an old fork with IS and then wait to get the adapter/rotor some time in the week. Won't be riding anyway the next few weeks so I got time .......
  15. I know I'm taking a hell of a chance but do you have a number
  16. Do you know where I can get said adapter? Rotor pretty easy to source .....
  17. Is there a bracket available to mount an XTR caliper (International Standard mount) to a Manitou Black post mount fork? I seen and even have a mount to go from IS fork to post mount type caliper but not the other way round .......... Please please guys this is 'hampering' my project/test bike build !
  18. Oooops Bob edited after you posted but ...........
  19. Maybe because Fullard, Lange, Mcleod, Taylor et al would win if they were on almost any half decent bike anyway perhaps ........... Oh afterthought perhaps but is it 'not about the bike' .......BigBen2008-05-16 04:20:19
  20. Will post this on the Flatdogs MTB club website tonight!
