  1. Hey R2D2 and Bob Bob Bob, where is the relevance in those comments to either cycling or nails huh huh Common courtesy is something like jack on and then jack off I believe? You okes will be in big poofie should the many hub monitors see this
  2. I got that distinct impression as well! We riding in the dark at 5am so couldn't really look around what was going on. We going out again tomorrow morning but not that route, don't feel like fixing punctures in the dark again! Have to get in as much riding as possible before my op next week
  3. Perhaps just a co-incidence but my boet and I on our ride from Brackendowns out to the Lido and back both had a puncture in the area near the garage at Kibler park. In both cases a short nail was the culprit, so for those who ride there just be careful!
  4. This from another Hubba fred ............... (no for those who haven't read it isn't Shimano). I'm not a brand basher (unless it's in jest of course!) but interesting how any failure is immediatley accompanied by the relevant manufacturers name ..........
  5. Flip guys get over yourselves! What site is this? Is it not thehubsa or perhaps christianrus.co.za? I have my own religious beliefs but doubt I would debate them on a cycling website ..............
  6. Hey Mux, when you and DellBoy going to Zoo farm again?
  7. AL - didn't someone say that Andy Mac may not be considered 'normal' amongst cyclists?
  8. My son (18) whose collarbone was 'plated' rode a road bike after 4 1/2 weeks and MTB non technical after 5 1/2 weeks ......
  9. The collarbone - with or without a plate?
  10. Haven't had a problem with the roof rack yet but I always open the sunroof if the bikes are on there just to remind me
  11. Oom kyk net gou bladsy 2 daar het ek sommer kiekies gepost! Dit sal miskien help.
  12. BigH - The stem stays as that is used to inflate the now converted wheel. I used Joe's. I don't see any reason why it won't work with your tyres!
  13. I scheme it can take car valve - I guess that's the better option, the BMX tjoop with the car valve that is?
  14. Don't ever race against him: I hear he's a bit of a ringer...
  15. Big Ben? That name rings a bell... Give it a bit of time and you might recall where you heard of him... Word on the street is that he has a towering intellect... I do
  16. Hey all - so far so good. Still fine. Not looking forward to topping up with Joe's though cause it's not the removable core tube but lets see!
  17. Final visit to the surgeon yesterday afternoon with new X-Rays in hand ....... 'Your collarbone is 80% healed, you can ride road and MTB but nothing technical' - he says! And in fact in another 2.5 weeks you can ride whatever you want!! Woohoo the boy is back .... the pain begins again for the old toppies on the training rides but hey it's all good! Pantani - that shirt sure look's good on the lil blighter! Thanks again mate, doesn't make up for missing out on the Quickstep world champ one that Zaskar has but it helps .........
  18. and that is just eweps house, you must see the real circus from where they gonna start riding from. Another keyboard destroyed ......
  19. Bikeshop response to 'whats the best bike for 3 grand' - lets see what I got in the shop at 3500, which just happens to be the best as well, how lucky for you .........
  20. Ox - you gotta work on that soft spot - not good ........
  21. And even if you think you know (cause it rained all night) it probably turns out that no race is all mud so you'll have an OK tyre some of the time, now I guess vat Crater Cruise fing that's another story ......... So as per BigWeld get the 2.1 something of your choice, experiment a bit with tyre pressure (after going tubeless) and in 99.847% of the time you'll be fine.
