I agree, but if Lambie is in the boks starting XV, who will then warm the bench for Heyneke?
  4. I am missing something here. I did not expect this thread to turn into a vetgat vs maargat debate. After 8 pages nobody blamed the mtbers or have the mtbers and roadies learned to live in harmony?

  6. I see it that he finished lap 5 after the leaders finished their final lap. So the leaders passed him twice on the course of which the last time would probably have been on lap five, but the first time would have been on lap 3 if I have to guess, unless he had mechanicals on lap 5 and was stuck there while the leaders did 2 laps.
  7. He was trying to get Strava to work on his Samsung when the OP passed him

Out of those 5 in the match day 22, how many can thank SARU for its input it had in transformation? I don't know the entire history of them all but I will give SARU the benefit of the doubt and say maybe 1. In my mind a transformational success story will be when at primary school level, a kid of colour from a school in the township who has more skills than the average kid his age is spotted by a scout appointed by SARU and SARU send that kid to a better school (who probably as better coaching), all expenses paid, and at that better school the kid's skills are developed, he plays craven week on merit, gets a contract at one of the bigger provinces on merit and becomes a springbok on merit. This will a be transformational success story SARU can boast about. If the kid was spotted by say a coach of the bigger school and lured to that school, then SARU cannot get praise for transformation. Who will be paying the quota players (selected on skin colour only) salary every month? If there are better players, then the quota players will not get a lucrative salary package from the provinces they play for, which means their careers are destined to be short-lived and they will most likely only play vodacom cup rugby. The players who would otherwise have been selected had it not been for the quotas will think this is BS and leave the country and the European clubs will welcome them with wide open arms.

Luckily the WP are sorted should the quota system move to the Currie Cup and Super Rugby. We have at least Skarra, Siya, Juan, Gio, Kolbe and enough to fill the bench. I do feel sorry for these quality players and think it is unfair towards them to be counted as quota players.

  11. You were calling me?
  12. Or just a round of drinks for everyone as a fine.
  13. Tumbles is the OP. Did I miss something? Did he also admit to doping? Maybe dopping at his favourite pub. But I agree with the rest of your post.
  14. I am working on the pronk but it is not that easy. Luckily I am married, but I will show the pronk to my missus when I have mastered it. Thanks for the advice.
  15. I can bunnyhop with or without any shoes and without a bike
  16. Or that bicycle sales are very very good and that the manufacturers can now afford to be the main sponsor of a pro team.
  17. OP, great post for a Friday. The guys with the disc wheels, were they the hardcore ones or dirt-roadies?
  18. If I have to make a wild guess, I'll say 90% of the things advertised in classifieds which get sold are going for less than the asking price. The sellers don't mind to drop their prices if negotiated, unless it is a real bargain and the seller states that the price is not negotiable. I think that they advertise at a higher price to make provision for discount. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Your car salesman does it as well. If you don't ask for discount, it's a bonus for him. On the flipside, we also complain about guys that advertise a dogma2 for R10 000.00 or Zipp wheels for R1000.00
  19. The service they render is the organising of the event. They have started organising it long time ago. It is not their fault the OP had an accident. They can make a long list of expenses which they have incurred and had to pay with the entry fees. I would also have been upset if I had to forfeit the entry fees, but rules are rules, break it for one, then you have to break it for all and soon the race will be draft legal Hard luck Jigghead.
  20. And this is how the new olympic sport of MTB-crawling was created.
  21. I found this one: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/121687-martyn-ashton-road-bike-party/page__hl__martyn+ashton On page 2 there were already 2 reposts that were merged with with the original thread

  23. That is what I have done over the last two years and my wetsuite is still good to go.
  24. For some reason the last time CWC posted any specials on thehub it was on the 15th of January 2013. I think they should run all the specials which they should have had over the last 4 months during the next week.
  25. I just want to be there already.
